I saw a vid of the Mayor laughing about it. Don't know if it was legit.

Also saw vids of announcements leading up to it. I think they said 'if you can hear his - evacuate now' then boom. Seemed bizarre, and I don't know what could be going on.

Been busy with snowshovelling and dinner, to be honest.

The FBI were on scene, and since they don't do 'first responder' stuff, there is a lot of speculation that they knew what was up before it happened. So they may have been watching the perpetrator(s) before the incident.

On the rumor side, people have said that AT&T and their infrastructure there was the immediate target, which suggests that the explosion is only part of the 'incident'.

But then, I still don't know if the announcement was coming from the van, or from law enforcement (who were evacuating people before the explosion)

Some theories I've heard besides ones mentioned are that it was someone attacking a 5G mast, someone doing a test explosion to take out AT&T to observe the outcome in preparation for further attacks (this one by an ex-soldier who said the US army does this sort of thing all the time), and it was an elaborate suicide attempt, referencing they found what may be human tissue in the wreckage.

On Reddit a large amount of people believe it is Trump supporting militias. Possibly, they've already attacked houses of congress and planned to kidnap a governor with part of that plan kidnapping and shooting people on live TV. But I think they someone would've claimed responsibility at this point, unless they really were testing out the infrastructure. The bombing, after all, cut out telephone lines for miles around so people lost access to 911 services and made an airport inoperable.

Of course the right are trying to blame Antifa but we don't have any examples of them doing anything more than organising rallies and counter rallies with the objective to provoke so it's not likely.

All that said, this is America and it's not like it doesn't also have a history of random nuts doing this for nutjob reasons. So I, personally, wouldn't speculate.
