South Dakota... :nono:

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-11-25/ ... s/12915332
And South Dakota — a state with one of the highest per capita infection rates — has not imposed restrictions like some other midwestern states.

More than a fifth of all the state's current hospital patients have COVID-19, the highest in the country.

"In South Dakota, we won't stop or discourage you from thanking God and spending time together this Thanksgiving," Governor Kristi Noem said in a statement.

"I'll continue to encourage each and every one of you to exercise personal responsibility and make smart choices for yourselves and your loved ones.

"Smaller gatherings may be smarter this year."

Ms Noem went on to claim that there is "no science" to support claims that lockdowns or mask mandates stop the spread of the virus.

The purpose of most virus control measures is to slow the spread of the virus by minimising the close contact that individuals have with others.

"Even on our worst day, we are still better off than the vast majority of the people in the world because we woke up in America," Ms Noem said.

This is how you do it, not like a wannabee autocrat:

North Korea is taking increasingly harsh measures to stop the coronavirus from entering the country, including executing an official in August who violated anti-virus rules, South Korean intelligence officials told lawmakers on Friday.

Thoughts and prayers. Maybe a few dozen ventilators that only need a little fixing.

Rudy's Covid 19 PA event:

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania state senator abruptly left a West Wing meeting with President Donald Trump after being informed he had tested positive for the coronavirus, a person with direct knowledge of the meeting told The Associated Press on Sunday.

Republican state Sen. Doug Mastriano had gone to the White House last Wednesday with like-minded Republican state lawmakers shortly after a four-hour-plus public meeting that Mastriano helped host in Gettysburg — maskless — to discuss efforts to overturn president-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the state.

Trump told Mastriano that White House medical personnel would take care of him, his son and his son’s friend, who were also there for the Oval Office meeting and tested positive. The meeting continued after Mastriano and the others left, the person said.

Organized anti-maskers

There are signatures being collected to depose the mayor. The city has a mandate, the state does not.
