Bald guy with red guitar is Doug. I saw him with Spooner dozens of times. I spoke to him last mid 80s in Madison one summer. He was pushing a kid in a strolller on State street. I asked him if he had any bands going. He said something vague. They did not audition Manson till 1993.

Wasting Light (2010–2012)

In August 2010, the band began recording their seventh studio album with producer Butch Vig, who had previously produced the two new tracks for the band's Greatest Hits album.[37] The album was recorded in Dave Grohl's garage using only analog equipment. The album won five Grammys and was nominated for six. The recording was analog to tape and used no computers, not even to mix or master.[38] Vig said in an interview with MTV that the album was entirely analog until post-mastering.
