Sure, Trump sent political activity into overdrive, and with his departure it will settle down somewhat, but there is no reason to believe that "left leaning sites fall off the map, thus ensuring a strong Republican showing for years to come". The vast majority of what you call left leaning sites has been around before Trump announced he is running for the presidency. To pick a couple of examples, The Young Turks began as a radio show in 2002 and started their Youtube channel in 2005. Mother Jones is even older. It appeared in print magazine form in 1976 and on the internet since 1993. Why would they, or the others, disappear? While left leaning sites have lost a target, it's been replaced by another: Joe Biden and almost all of the coming Democrat administration, none of whom (with the possible exception of "The new Democrats" and "The Squad") are left leaning at all.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 12:39 pmI don't really expect all lefty online media to shut down. I expect them to see far less traffic as interest in politics dwindles now that Trump is gone.Hermit wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 7:46 amSorry, I can't parse that.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 5:15 amThe low Democrat turnout following a win like this suggest some drop in interest. I'm wondering if the absence of Trump will show up as a multiplier of sorts for that.
Keep in mind that left leaning sites are not married to the Democrat Party, and even if they were there'd be opportunities for fights galore. Fights always attract crowds. Nothing will drop off the map.
I think Trump drove interest/participation in politics to a new high. With him gone I wonder if we will see the usual lack of participation, and then some.Sorry, I can't parse that.

"Anthony Scaramucci on MSNBC says all the court challenges are a last Trump scam. He'll collect donations to pay for them, but the fine print will allow him to use the money any way he wants. Scaramucci predicts Trump could raise $60 million in the next couple weeks, with no strings."

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen said the president would likely flee the White House for Mar-a-Lago at Christmas and not return for Joe Biden's inauguration in January.
Speaking on MSNBC, Michael Cohen said the president would probably fight the election result until January and beyond from the comfort of his Florida escape.
“I would not be shocked if there is no concession speech at all. My theory is that at Christmas time he goes to Mar-a-Lago. I think he will stay there through the inauguration. I would not be shocked if he will not show up to the inauguration either,” Mr Cohen said.
“He cannot let the camera look at him and basically pull down the curtain and see the wizard standing beside. He is just a loser and it is killing him and, right now, what is going on in the White House is nothing but finger-pointing.”

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Personally I think calling someone a "loser" as an insult, is quite a despicable thing to do. Generally used by a person of privilege to dismiss those less fortunate than themselves. The kid at school who can't afford a car, or drives a pretty crap one, get called a loser by the rich kids. The person who gets the promotion, moves ahead and calls the others losers.
Trump's favourite insult to those that dutifully pay their taxes and serve their country. People who volunteer their time and don't get paid for it. People who invest in his schemes and lose their pensions. Losers. Beneath contempt, because America is about winning and those that don't can be ignored. Those that have pre-existing conditions and those that don't have enough health insurance - all losers. Those that can't get into the top schools because daddy can't pay the bribes, losers.
I call bullshit - Alfred E Einstein

Trump to go on rallies, dig up dead people and see if their signature matches the record at polling place
FOX news
President Trump is planning to bring back his large-scale rallies that were a hallmark of his presidential run, but these will be focused on his “ongoing litigation” as he challenges the results of last week’s election.
According a report by Axios and confirmed by Fox News, Trump's campaign plans to take less traditional path to challenging the results of the election, including holding “a series of Trump rallies” focused on the campaigns ongoing legal efforts in numerous states across the country.
Along with the rallies, Trump is also planning to use obituaries of people who allegedly voted but are actually dead as evidence of the voter fraud he's been claiming. The campaign is also sending recount teams Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, with Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., heading up the effort in the Peach State.
