The washable cloth masks that Bron and I both wear when we are out have the recommended 3 layers. Once bought, they will last us through this pandemic, so cost is not an issue. They will certainly reduce the number of aerosol droplets I inhale while in retail or public transport places, and thus reduce my chances of infection. They are not a magic bullet; social distancing, hand washing and an effective regime of testing and contact tracing are also vital. A combination of these, plus draconian movement restrictions helped Victoria smash our second wave...
