Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Major revision of statistics concerning new coronavirus infections in the UK happening now. Thousands of new infections have been missed because the 12 billion pound coronavirus management project is run on spreadsheet rather than industrial-grade database software. Oops.
The current version of MS Excel has a 1,048,576 row/16,384 column limit. Any data requiring space beyond them don't get in. Of course it does not help if you enter records in columns rather than rows.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
British figures and data are so trustworthy
Just like so many countries.
England Covid cases error means 50,000 contacts may not have been traced

England Covid cases error means 50,000 contacts may not have been traced
And they are still being reported as gospel.‘Shambolic’ failure resulted in 15,841 cases not reported for over a week
More than 50,000 potentially infectious people may have been missed by contact tracers and not told to self-isolate because of the data blunder that meant nearly 16,000 coronavirus cases went unreported in England.
Public Health England (PHE) admitted it was to blame for the IT error that meant 15,841 positive test results were left off the official daily figures between 25 September and 2 October.
It is thought that the majority of the 15,841 patients were non-complex cases, meaning they were tested in community settings rather than in hospitals, care homes or other institutions.
In the most recent week for which figures are available, each non-complex case reported an average of three close contacts. This equates to at least 47,000 people.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
So, Scot, it seems that there are actually many more infections than reported, at least in the UK (similar findings have been found elsewhere). In the past, you have argued that untrustworthy figures implied that the pandemic is being exaggerated...

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Case numbers are being stubborn here in pestilence central. They were below 10 for a couple of days, but have popped back up to 15. The state government is to reassess the restrictions in about 10 days, but the changes might be minimal if the numbers don't keep diminishing...

Because that Jim suits the narrative. Nobody wants to admit the total mess of data and all the presumptions it contains. Especially from certain regions which are gleefully used in world data. So reporting the non-reporting of cases plays nicely into the narrative of the control freaks and doom thinkers around the world.

In the first six months of 2020, there were more than 86 thousand deaths registered in the Netherlands. This is almost 9 thousand more than in the first half of 2019 and over 5 thousand more than in the same period in 2018. The higher mortality coincides with the novel coronavirus epidemic in the Netherlands. From March to June 2020 inclusive, altogether 7,797 people died whose cause of death was confirmed by the attending physician as due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Suspected COVID-19 was the cause of death in another 2,270 cases as indicated by the attending medical practitioner. Therefore, there were altogether 10,067 deaths caused by either confirmed or suspected COVID-19. Of this group, 60 percent were people who had been receiving care under the Long-term care act (Wlz) and 53 percent were males. This is evident from the latest provisional figures on mortality, published today by Statistics Netherlands (CBS).

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
The numbers are both high when they should really be low, and low when they should really be high. This clearly means that all the numbers cancel each other out and Covid goes away.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:39 amScot can make anything fit his conspiracy theory. Recently, a so-called “white coat summit” gave me a sense of dejavu. It was held by a group that calls itself ‘America’s Frontline Doctors’ (AFD) that consisted of about a dozen people wearing white coats to the effect of achieving an appearance of being experts on medical matters.

Just what are you trying to prove? You obviously dont understand anything about this country or about death rates. You are so preoccupied with this country so why not move here and enjoy a well organised rich social democracy?rainbow wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:44 amMore Gummint lies!!!!Scot Dutchy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:29 amBecause that Jim suits the narrative. Once again you miss keywords which are often used by doom thinkers to flower up the story. Remember we have 17½ million registered population. Of course as childish doom thinker wanting to paint this country even blacker than it has already been painted you miss all that.
