Exactly! His lifestyle is catching up with him. Why not use the Covid excuse and have a break and spin some political gold thread. We will never know if he really has it. Lying is so natural to him who believes anything he says.

It would also require the doctors treating him lying as well. I doubt that is happening. But as ever, you jump for the conspiracy theory.

Panic and confusion permeate White House following Trump's Covid diagnosis
Concerns mount over spread of the virus within the building, and whether it could disrupt the functioning of government

Golden autumn sunshine shone down on Washington on Saturday to illuminate a US capital upended as Donald Trump began his first full day in hospital battling coronavirus amid a presidential election thrown into chaos.

Just hours earlier, on Friday evening after an excruciating wait for news, the president had emerged from the White House with a lacklustre wave and thumbs up, but ignoring reporters’ shouted questions about the state of his health.

Trump stalked slowly across the south lawn and boarded the US presidential helicopter. The only visual clue that something profound had changed was Trump’s face: he was wearing a mask.

As Marine One lifted into the sky just before sunset, the president left behind a White House staff suddenly rudderless, fearful and unsure how the story will end. The reality TV star turned president has delivered his greatest moment of suspense and the presidential election with its first “October surprise” but maybe not its last.

Trump, 74, is spending the weekend at a military hospital near Washington after discovering that not even the commander in chief of the world’s most powerful country is immune to the coronavirus. Said to be feverish and fatigued, there is huge uncertainty over his condition, its potential to deteriorate and whether he might become incapacitated.
He loves chaos.

Dr Gupta on Trump treatment (socialist medicine! military hospital!) video

https://www.msnbc.com/the-reidout/watch ... 3038661597

experimental antibody would not be the first thing he would use, or at least he has no info on this antibody
why is Gupta getting no access to the antibody?

he needs synthetic antibodies? does that mean he's immunodepressed?
and if vaccines are not ready yet, I'm surprised such a treatment is advanced enough for him to volunteer to be a guinea pig.

Well, these are "copied" antibodies humans have made. So there is no part of any version of the virus there. Rather harmless. This will take some timecto approve, as it's a costly biotech drug that may have only minor benefit. The biggest concern in these, and all injectables, is sterility of the product. It used to be by:

With a vaccine you get more bang for the buck.

Viral vaccines have to be made in cells, and I do not know the metod of manufacture. It used to be in eggs.

Thiomersal? I thought that mercury thing was long discontinued?

and ugh, that's one image I could have done without.

Probably. Vaccines came in multi use ampules. The nurse took a new syringe and needle every time. Now they are in single use ampules. The sterility of the contents is still the main issue for the FDA to inspect.

The problem with the antibodies us that US insurance won't pay for them unless it affects mortality. They will pay for the vaccine, because it will reduce hospital costs. Oreven prevent hospitalization.
