Back in the early 2000s I went to a Chemistry meeting near Disneyland. For a poster session, they had a band. It turned out to be the Surfaris, but even the drummer was not able to do the hit.
But it turned out to be conglomeration of the remaining surf music players, with one original Surfari in it. A guy came up and said they were going to play a song he wrote when he was 16. He was Paul Johnson of the Belaairs.
I hink Paul is the one up front. He had no hair left when the poster session group played.
