Shooter fails to carry Antifa member card:

Until the shooting, the protesters mainly chanted and yelled and each other, separated by police, the Denver Post reported. Video of the incident posted to social media showed the shooting victim involved in a tense dispute with a man wearing a "Black Guns Matter" T-shirt.

The police later tweeted that the suspect is not linked to antifa. The victim has not been identified.

Hmm, wonder what else he wasn't affiliated with. Church of the Latter Day Saints? Knights of Columbus? Greater Binghamton Rotary Club?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I'm not sure how much cross-over exists between "Black Lives Matter" and Antifa. I mean, I'm sure they share views on many issues, but I had an impression (which may be mistaken) that Antifa were mainly white...

That's pretty much the view of news and police:
He is black: BLM
He is white: he is antifa.

My bad. $27m, not $20m.

Minneapolis to pay $27M to settle George Floyd family lawsuit
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The city of Minneapolis on Friday agreed to pay $27 million to settle a civil lawsuit from George Floyd’s family over the Black man’s death in police custody, even as jury selection continued in a former officer’s murder trial.

The Minneapolis City Council emerged from closed session to announce the record settlement, which includes $500,000 for the neighborhood where Floyd was arrested. Floyd family attorney Ben Crump called a news conference for 1 p.m. that was to include family members.

Crump, in a prepared statement, said it was the largest pretrial civil rights settlement ever, and "sends a powerful message that Black lives do matter and police brutality against people of color must end."...

Other US cities now have a pressing financial reason to rein in the thugs in their police forces...

Is this an official procedure or just something cops "pick up?"

Trial has witnesses for the cop. They watch the video. "At this point George Floyd was becoming more compliant." He was practically dead so "compliant," yeah.
