Right of centre of what? We are still a Northern European Social Democracy. For Trump we are socialist lunatics. I dont agree with all the policies but any decision that is made, is made democratically. Something that cant be said about many countries.

The numbers are so low it is amazing why people get their knickers in twist over so few. Last week officially 14 over a population of 17 million.
There are far bigger problems in the world. This so-called crisis is being flogged to death politically. How about world poverty and inequality. That costs far more deaths. The protection of young girls from forced marriages is more important to me. The environment has been smoke screened.
But some here are determined to play the game of points scoring arguing about stupid data which none of us has any say over.

I think you're confusing the significance of an individual NL citizen's death with whether you're personally concerned about it. +6000 officially dead by Covid, and an excess death rate for the 5 months till August of c.40% - each one somebody's loved one: a father or mother, uncle or aunt, sibling, spouse, friend and/or colleague. If 1 death for every 2764 citizens is insignificant where does 'significant' begin?

The school district I work for already has 66 confirmed cases among teachers. They've only had students for a week.

They don't care. The union is busy convincing teachers they can't sue because viruses --just are.

Schools are still closed here in Victoria, but they're due to open up (with staggered returns) in a few weeks, for the final term of the year. My son Nick's partner teaches Grade 2 students, and (like Nick) has been working from home - she says that on-line teaching of young ones is very, very hard.

I'm guessing the cases are from before students arrived. It's just that at 66 cases without students, going forward with them hardly seems promising.

We're staggered right now too, with the majority opting to return to school. Online will be available all year.

The numbers of homicide are so low in the Netherlands. Last year, only 119 all the year over a population of 17 millions! Yet, there is so much sensationalist reporting in the news about people being murdered. And there's tens of thousands of police officers. What do we need police for when only so few people are actually murdered?

What do you reckon the chances are Scot will get this point? I predict close to zero.
