If it's not caravans, it's plane loads!

In The Washington Post, Eugene Robinson was reminded of Trump's tactics during the midterm election two years ago: "As President Trump frantically tries to frighten voters with the specter of 'anarchists' and 'looters' and planes full of black-clad 'bad people' coming to menace your suburban neighborhood, take a trip down memory lane. Recall those desperate days of 2018, when the nation was sacked, pillaged and reduced to smoking ruins by vast, unstoppable caravans of marauding Latino migrants.

Evil government is inspecting mail!

The Postal Inspection Service is the oldest law enforcement agency in the country, created in 1772—before the Declaration of Independence. Its mission is to protect and defend the nation’s mail system, and that includes elections. The Inspection Service’s mission is to protect the mail from criminals including child pornography traffickers, narcotics traffickers and money launderers. These are the same coppers who caught the Unabomber in 1996, and arrested former Trump-whisperer Steve Bannon for mail fraud a few weeks ago.

The Inspection Service corps includes more than 1,200 inspectors and nearly 600 postal police officers, who have the legal authority, training, experience and access to all postal facilities.

Postal inspectors and police officers are not partisan election monitors or outside observers—they have a sworn duty to protect the mail as a whole without regard to politics. They also have the autonomy and authority to act as necessary to protect the mail, on or off postal property—and that includes ballots.

Postal Inspectors could provide on-site support and trained local assistance in the event of an improper incident. They can also document what they observe in case there are questions—as there will surely be—about why some ballots weren’t delivered on time.

Yeahbut evil gov't! It's s holy cause!

Even Republicans appeared to acknowledge that character will play a central role in voters' decision-making in November, programming their convention last month with personal testimonies to rebut suggestions that Trump is uncaring, sexist or racist in the hopes of wooing suburban voters who have been turned off by the President's behavior.

Though not strictly necessary, it's best for Democrats to get about 50% in Ohio, if not win it.

Hillary did not get even close, she lost a chunk of votes to Jill Stein.

Biden/Trump in Ohio in running about 50/50.

Well, for the past 30 years at least the Republican strategy has been to try to get as few to vote as possible.

U.S. democracy is the worst democracy.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

(We would only need to shut the country down 3 weeks, with only emergency and hospital people going to work, and city traffic and power maintained)

"Folks have figured out that it's not the financial wizards of Wall Street that make this country run. It's you, the essential workers," Biden said during the virtual event with Trumka.

Trump said that if Biden were elected, the Democrat would mandate another economic shutdown to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

"Biden's plan for the China virus is to shut down the entire US economy," Trump said. "He'd be laying off tens of millions of workers and causing countless deaths from suicide, substance abuse, depression, heart disease, and other very serious illnesses."

Trump plans to visit North Carolina, Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania later in the week, all considered crucial to both candidates' chances of victory.

President Biden will inherit Trump China tariff

It will be like Obamacare for Trump. He can't get rid of it.

Come on Tero, we're taking the Senate!
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

The Silver State. 1894.

Jesus I hope not. The only thing that's kept us from complete collapse is having a split Congress. Never, EVER give one party the House, Senate, AND Presidency.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
