I'm not going to be too critical - one of my very few imperfections is mispronunciation...

Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
And my gin!

Q: Do all QAnon supporters share the same beliefs?
A: No—fundamentalists tend to read the QAnon text literally, while evangelicals believe it’s an allegory for President Trump’s unfair treatment.
Q: Is imagining clandestine government intrigue more palatable than dwelling on the reality that the American people are under complete control of international corporate interests?
A: Yes.

Are there any limits on the powers of acting dept/institution heads over the Senate-confirmed roles? If not, which president from now on is going to bother with the pantomime of getting broader political approval for their appointees?

As far as I know there isn't any appreciable difference between what an acting department head and a duly appointed and confirmed department head can do. The government can't stop functioning while the Senate squabbles, after all.
Neither party wants to let the president's ability to appoint people in an acting position result in de facto circumvention of the constitutional 'advise and consent' oversight function of the Senate. There were loud yalps of complaint from the Republicans when Clinton used the acting appointment liberally, and a law was passed which attempted to erect some guard rails on the process.

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
The Act appears to give a new president a year's grace to nominate a dept head and if the post remains unfilled for a subsequent 210 days then an already appointed member of the executive gets to 'act up'. I am right in thinking if an acting head is sacked or stands down the 210 countdown starts again? If so, that seems an easy one to game. I guess House Republicans are intensely relaxed about those unfilled posts.

Yes, as I recall there have been instances of successive acting heads, but there are time limits on how long the president can game the system. Typical of many of the 'reforms' in the US government, it's a gesture in the correct direction but doesn't deal with the issue in a comprehensive and observably effective way.

...anything better than the all white tennis shot?
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Where's the G*laxian video claiming it was a Mossad operation?JimC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 2:20 amTheir Interior Minister has said it was from a huge pile of seized Ammonium nitrate.NineBerry wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 11:50 pmExplosion in Beirut. Probably an accident because of storing chemicals unsafely.
Trump says in press conference he believes it was a bomb or military attack. Twitter full of q-idiots who say it cannot be an accident because an accident wouldn't be so big.
The things reminded me of the fireworks factory explosion in the Netherlands 20 years ago. These videos show what an accident can look like (Violence)
