I can hear it now:
"Who is that masked man?"
"Who is that masked man?"
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
And my gin!

And you should continue to ignore and diminish the recently released documents around the scandal. It could make you look bad, if you fell for the Russian Collusion conspiracy...

Nearly 2K former DOJ officials call for AG Barr to resign over Flynn case
Nearly 2000 former Justice Department officials have signed onto a letter calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign over what they describe as his improper intervention in the criminal case of former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Last week, the DOJ moved to drop charges against Flynn who had pleaded guilty twice to lying to the FBI about his contacts with the former Russian ambassador during the presidential transition.
The letter, signed mostly by former career officials in the department, accuses Barr of joining with President Trump in "political interference in the Department’s law enforcement decisions."
"Attorney General Barr’s repeated actions to use the Department as a tool to further President Trump’s personal and political interests have undermined any claim to the deference that courts usually apply to the Department’s decisions about whether or not to prosecute a case," reads the letter, which was organized by the group 'Protect Democracy'.

Are you worried at all that Obama, Clapper, Clinton and company are going to make it look like the Dems were corrupt?Seabass wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 11:43 pmI guess these 2000 former DOJ officials all have TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

That seems to be the plan. It seems to be chugging along very well. I am guessing that everyone of the fucks, blue or red, is corrupt, but this 'storm' will make it look like all the garbage was on one side of the political aisle.

Re: Spygate is unravelling
Why would Obama be corrupt? He can spy on you. He's the president.
Re: Spygate is unravelling
Me he can spy on, he's the president!
You, however, have protections under that constitution...he needs special rules to do you.
You don't care what he did, do you?
I mean, what if he colluded with Trump to ensnare Biden in a corruption scheme in Ukraine and China?

I think the concern is that this has been turned into a partisan parlour game that undermines the rule of law and sets a precedent for any future incumbent in the White House.

What happens if a party is fully vanquished? Do they just vote between republicans? (like Clinton vs Trump 2016)

Re: Spygate is unravelling
WASHINGTON — The federal judge overseeing the case against President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn appointed a hard-charging former prosecutor and judge on Wednesday to oppose the Justice Department’s effort to drop the case and to explore a perjury charge against Mr. Flynn.
Judge Emmet G. Sullivan’s appointment of the former judge, John Gleeson, was an extraordinary move in a case with acute political overtones. Mr. Flynn pleaded guilty twice to lying to investigators as part of a larger inquiry into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
Mr. Flynn later began fighting the charge and sought to withdraw his guilty plea. Then last week, the Justice Department abruptly moved to drop the charge after a long campaign by Mr. Trump and his supporters, prompting accusations that Attorney General William P. Barr had undermined the rule of law and further politicized the department.
Judge Sullivan also asked Judge Gleeson to explore the possibility that by trying to withdraw his pleas, Mr. Flynn opened himself to perjury charges.
Judge Sullivan, he said, is essentially bringing in an outsider to represent the point of view of the original prosecutors, who believed Mr. Flynn had committed a crime before Mr. Barr intervened and essentially replaced them with a prosecutor willing to say he had not.
Judge Walton questioned whether Mr. Barr “made a calculated attempt to influence public discourse about the Mueller report in favor of President Trump.”

It's hard to accept that there is a corrupt administration, when it's your favourite, eh?It turns out that Flynn amicus John Gleeson once worked with (and allegedly supervised) Mueller prosecutor Andrew Weissmann.
Curious if Gleeson and Weissman have talked recently.

Re: Spygate is unravelling
Will President Biden be investigating Rudy Giuliani in Ukraine? He was selling visas to the US with Trump signatures on them, to anybody willing to testify falsely on crooked Burisma and Crooked Hunter.
Re: Spygate is unravelling
Yes! I hope so!
Also, Hunter came along with Daddy on official trips to China.
But ignore the recently released documents, Tero. They make your Democrats look bad.

'"No Excuse": Senate Slammed for Reauthorizing Government Spy Powers Without Crucial Privacy Protections'
The vast majority of Democrats and Republicans in the GOP-controlled U.S. Senate were lambasted by rights groups Thursday for an 80-16 vote to reauthorize sweeping government surveillance powers until December 2023 without key amendments to improve privacy protections.
The USA FREEDOM Reauthorization Act of 2020 (H.R. 6172) reauthorizes three controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) authorities that expired on March 15: Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 as well as the "lone wolf and "roving wiretap" powers. The legislation now heads back to the Democrat-majority House, which is under pressure to further amend it.
"This bill should not be enacted into law without more privacy-strengthening measures," Free Press Action government relations director Sandra Fulton said in a statement. "At a moment in history when we need Congress to be vigilant, there's no excuse for failing to protect our rights and privacy."
