That's very likely. But I do think the Republican platform is crazy. I think they're fundamentally wrong about how to create a better world. Their philosophy stinks.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 5:08 amI don't think you grasp how insane and anti-social the replublican party is. If you lived outside of it you'd have no trouble seeing it.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 4:33 amRepublicans didn't impeach Clinton over a blowjob, that's just our way of minimizing what all he actually did.
That you can't see your own bloody-mindedness even after that mountain of self-righteous butthurt is incredible. But hardly surprising given in your last post you claimed Republicans can only solve problems with cruelty!
Nope, you're not living in a fantasy.

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Their philosophy: less taxes less government. That is all there is to it. In a crisis: save businesses.
In a vague way, also resist all change.

He doesn't matter, those smears earn CNN, Pelosi Schiff and ABC the respect they deserve, based on their actions. If one of their accusations is right, let me know.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 6:34 amI'd say you should be more concerned with what the guy stands for, not what other people say about him. Liking a guy because some people try and smear him is idiotic.
So far, like the 'Trump is racist' claims, they are based on your political alignment and little else.
I like that he talks back to shitty media. I like that he doesn't speak like a corporate-coached communications person.
When he favours Americans over non-Americans (such as with border control or such) he is called 'racist'. It's a fucking crock.
Racists are the ones who insist that Americans are 'white', and everyone else must stand against them.
American isn't a race. Neither is 'illegal immigrant', but idiots would try to tell you that was the case.
Always watch for people calling things racist that aren't. For example, if someone tries to conflate muslims with 'brown people', it shows they have so much racism in their heart, they'll even insult a whole religious group (of BILLIONS) to do it. You could decide to be a muslim tomorrow, and I don't need to check your skin colour to know that. People convert to Islam ALL the time. (though converting back seems to have unrelated issues)

Re: The Trump Pandemic
So senate majority leader Mitch McConnell just said that he opposes "blue-state bailouts" and that blue states hit hard by the coronavirus and lockdowns should go bankrupt.
Thing is, NY and CA are the two biggest sources of revenue for the federal government. Mitch's state of Kentucky is of course one of the poorest states in the union and one of the biggest moochers of federal tax dollars.
This level of detachment from and denial of reality does not exist on the Democratic side. This level of psychopathic cruelty does not exist on the Democratic side. This is why bothsidesing chaps my hide. Bothsidesing in the Trump/McConnell era is like bothsidesing in 1930s Germany. This is fucking nuts.

They are protesting in Harris county because being caught in public without a mask can carry a fine or jail. If the city of Houston actually enforces the order you should know that this will come back to bite Democrats in the arse. But, as usual, my party can't see past their own noses to the implications of their good intentions.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
What do you think of the kind of idiot that minimizes the Holocaust by comparing Trump supporters to Nazis?
I think it's an insult to (at least) all the Jews Trump hasn't had killed. Maybe even to some of the gays he hasn't forced to wear pink triangles.
Good thing the rabidly anti-Trump are a small (though noisy) minority.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Well, it turns out we have. Something like 70% infected in some Ohio prison.
