Never done that. Either, actually. The trick is not to keep it loaded when you clean it. Nobody with any sense would, but there are a lot of stupid people out there.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Certainly China deserves a lot more pox than the US, lak. But what I don't want to do is take sides...
And it's a bit scary to be talking about acts of war in the middle of this whole thing...

Re: US Election 2020
We all rely on their authoritarian management of the workforce, supply chains, and financial instruments. Why do you think your TV, mobile phone, and car insurance are so cheap? Does any US, European or Japanese firm who has their goods manufactured in China really want them to start paying their workers more or improving their conditions?laklak wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 10:08 pmThere are certainly other sides than the U.S., but I'm not seeing a CCP side. They're the largest mass murderers in history, they rely on slave labor, they harvest organs from political prisoners, they boil dogs alive, and now it appears they have unleashed a virus that has killed, so far, over 150,000 people world wide and basically destroyed the entire world economy for years, if not decades. So sure, a pox on both their houses, because with Trump at the helm there's no real difference, right?
Something like Covid-19 could come from anywhere. The virus hasn't destroyed the world economy - that a failure of the system as a whole in circumstances where the alternative, letting a lot of people become infected and die, just isn't an option in the West. And besides, the 'world economy' isn't force of nature, it's a set of formal relationships that were devised and implemented by humans and can be re-written any time. There's absolutely no reason why countries who can control their money supply like the US, the UK, the Eurozone and Japan cannot run substantial deficits for a substantial period of time. Indeed, they've been pouring liquidity into the system for 12 years now - it's just that very little of that has gone into the real economy or has impacted directly on ordinary working people lives, instead it's been used to underwrite the actions of the financial sector so it could carry on as if 2007/8 never happened. If we're looking for someone to blame for the inherent weaknesses and stresses in the 'world economy' the pandemic has exposed we can definitely start closer to home.

Whatabout the financial sector?
Yeah it sucks, Yeah it's unfair. Yeah neolib governments the world over have propped up the corporations and financial sector. None of them released a virus, none of the lied about it.

Success, especially financial success, is off-putting to many.
To the point where they feel justified in hating over it. Run a business that thrives - great job! Scale up and do more of it - EVIL CORPORATION!

Yikes, you're smarter than that Cunt.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Lied about it and mismanaged the early spread, sure. Released it (deliberately) extremely unlikely. Released it (accidentally) very unlikely...

This is what I meant by implying both the US and China are not worthy of "world leadership":
This is what I meant by implying both the US and China are not worthy of "world leadership":
The reality, however, is disappointing: the coronavirus has exposed the fact that neither the US nor China is sufficiently equipped for global health leadership at this time of international need.
A series of short-sighted, albeit quite different, domestic political failings are to blame. Both should have done better.

But what about the WHO? Do they have some blame in this? Are they owned by the Chinese? Or does America pump too much money into them? And what about the NBA? And vaginas?
And what about Jussi Smollet?

Have they announced Obama as Bidens VP yet? Or is it still supposed to be a surprise?

Re: US Election 2020
The checks from Chairman Trump came. I'm afraid this will help him. People will go "nobody I know died, and I still have a job. This was a nothingburger!"
Re: US Election 2020
That's very honest of you.
Now, instead of focusing on him, why not consider how the Dems are going to improve their position...
I think they'll run Obama as VP, but I don't think it's enough...Biden is looking BAD.
If I were cynical, i would think that he'll die or his health will fail after naming his VP, and she will take the lead.
But cynicism isn't a good way to think this through...He hasn't even named her his VP yet...and his health is probably fine, unless you believe his opponents, interviews and history.
