Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
I don't disagree, and no doubt they'll be government investigations, news media features, NatGeo documentaries, and a plethora of gonzo podcasts looking at the timelines and the consequences of certain choices. What I'm saying is that people who address the issues we're all facing today by citing the inscrutable Chinese as being morally culpable - particularly those in positions of influence and power - are simply trying to cover their arses and... Oh look, over there.... a badger with a gun!

So the fish-tank drinkers story unfolds more. Steven Crowder found evidence, and broadcast his call to one of the authors. He had evidence that the woman was anti-Trump, including Hillary donations and suchlike. Also, she was divorcing the guy, and had been charged with assault.
The author seemed disinterested, but it IS pretty funny to see these attacks. Makes me sad it didn't go on long enough for Pelosi to get a piece of the action.

The author wasn't interested in correcting. Doesn't take an idiot to figure out why.Hermit wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 9:45 pmIdiots among Clinton supporters. What the fuck are you talking about? I love how you think we all have a line to whatever thoughts are going through your head.

The author of one of the original articles, had identified the couple as having drank the aquarium cleaner 'because Trump said'.
Crowders investigation revealed more facts.
The author doesn't care. The facts would no longer make Trump look bad, so they moved on.

Lucidity, thy name ain't Cunt...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
And my gin!
Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
It doesn't matter. Even if you did know that the aquarium poison story was artifice and 'fake news', it would still work as well as expected. Fake attacks on Trump are justified, by those who are already certain that he is guilty of...something.

Each time I found the attacks against him empty or dishonest (such as the smear effort re: the aquarium poison story) it makes Trumps words more trustworthy relative to those attacks.Hermit wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 12:10 amWhat facts would no longer make Trump look bad?Cunt wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 11:16 pmThe author of one of the original articles, had identified the couple as having drank the aquarium cleaner 'because Trump said'.

You, for instance, convinced me that you are a lot smarter than me. Thing is, knowing your feelings about Trump, and how much it colours your opinions, I have a tough time taking them seriously.
It's like the WHO talking about Taiwan, or the NBA talking about the HK protests.

Let me try again. You wrote: "Crowders investigation revealed more facts." and "The author doesn't care. The facts would no longer make Trump look bad, so they moved on." That while she claimed to be following Trump's advice, she was an avid anti-Trump, so it casts doubt.Hermit wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 12:22 amLet me try again. She also was in the midst of divorcing the victim, and had been arrested for assaulting him.
All making it a different story. Not all that special though, so many of the 'Trump Smear's are trasparent and inadequate.

Oh, I see. So nobody who is anti-Trump could possibly take his advice about some chemical being protection against the Covid-19 virus? Let me think about this for a second.Cunt wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 12:31 amThat while she claimed to be following Trump's advice, she was an avid anti-Trump, so it casts doubt.Hermit wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 12:22 amLet me try again. The domestic abuse case is dated 29 June 2001. Even ignoring the date, what bearing does that have on what it makes Trump look? Let me think about this for a second.
Wanda told her doctor that she wanted to get a divorce in 2012. Ignoring the date and the fact that she is still married to her husband, so not in the midst of divorcing the victim, what bearing does that have on what it makes Trump look? Let me think about this for a second.
OK. I've thought about it. So, next question: What have you been smoking? Mere pot couldn't be that disabling.

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
The story they used took the agreeable facts, and painted a very nice story about Trump being evil for saying that a popular (with doctors) treatment was 'promising'.
It is a large part of what makes the news orgs less trustworthy.
Like their constant ignoring of Biden's mental decline...we can all see it, now that we have more windows to look through.
