I don't remember so many celebreties and politicians announcing their infaction from previous outbreaks or pandemics.

I wonder if that is because of better reporting? Or a more mobile population among those classes.

Mass infection

On March 1 Rev. Timothy Cole conducted mass at Christ Church Georgetown in Washington D.C. 500 parishioners attended with whom he shook hands. He then tested positive for being a carrier of Covid-19. "City officials announced that anyone who entered Christ Church Georgetown on February 24 or between February 28 and March 3 should self-quarantine."

Your "mass infection" line would work better if it was a Catholic Church... :tea:

Paranoia is complete here. Everything is shut (yes even the redlight districts). Trams are almost empty and the tram company is running an extended Sunday service. The same is true on the railways. A universal maximum speed limit of 100kph on the motorways has been introduced today along with more controls in order to reduce nitrous oxide (the other crisis) which just adds to the paranoia.
Eight new deaths; all people over 70 who were suffering from other complaints. We have a total of 178 cases. There are 1300 IC beds in the country only 80% are occupied with normal patients. Another 1500 are being made ready (for whom?)
We have the country closed down for what? Just to keep up with the Jones's? Belgium has less. This situation will continue until the 8th of April. Pure madness.

Talk about keeping up the type:

UK coronavirus crisis 'to last until spring 2021 and could see 7.9m hospitalised'
Exclusive: Public Health England document seen by Guardian says four in five ‘expected’ to contract virus
So once again 'expected’ or 'could' and other vague terms.

People refusing quarantine face jail or £1,000 fine under strict coronavirus rules

Under the Health Protection (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020, which were passed last month, a person who is required to be kept in isolation can be taken there by a constable, with the use of ‘reasonable force, if necessary’. Failure to comply with restrictions, or absconding from isolation, is punishable with a fine of up to £1,000.

Just what is happening in Italy? Do we really know. Italy was having a political crisis before the virus and now?
Italians are being typical Italians and blow everything into a worse situation. Nobody has a crisis like the Italians.

Yesterday alone, more than 400 people died in Italy directly because of the virus. That's not counting the indirect or unknown cases. The number of people dying is growing exponentially. In other countries like Germany and the Netherregions, the number of infected people is also rising exponentially. The number of people dying isn't yet because the number of what the health care system can handle, hasn't been reached yet. All the measures try exactly that: Try to prevent the number of infected people making the system collapse.
