Black beans, not pork and beans, but yeah. I'll do more, too.

When talking this over, we laughed about how many of our favourite foods are exactly what we would stock up on for this kind of prep.

Lots of brown rice (keeps well) dozens of cans of beans. I've ALWAYS maniacally kept a LOT of toilet paper around, buy lots when it's on sale.

We also have 'outdoor freezer space' for a few more weeks.

Tero, I wish you enough leisure time today, that you can go enjoy a couple hours of your favourite cardio. (birding? Biking? Fapping? )

It's been crappy weather. I went to see a lifer bird yesterday, bringing state total to 276. A guy in his mid 70s goes every day and reports this stuff. It's bird or die for him. So I got Larry's bird.

With everyone being isolated, I am concerned about that isolation creating new problems. With that in mind, I'm taking a few minutes every day to contact (electronically) people I like, reminding them I like them, and asking them how they are. I also ask after their friends, and encourage more contact.

Isolation issues creep up, and having investigated lonesome deaths, I think it worthwhile to reach out to people, even if they aren't the popular ones.

Mostly, elders come to mind for me, but with schools closed, kids could start having isolation issues too. Arctic Winter Games just got cancelled here, and some of the most athletic, popular and successful kids were just handed a big dish of disappointment. Maybe some kind of effort could ease up the isolation these kids are getting...

Trump and Pence Won’t Be Tested After Meeting With Infected Brazilian Official

President Trump will not be tested for the coronavirus after coming into contact with a Brazilian official who tested positive for the virus just days after participating in meetings with him in Florida, the White House said on Thursday.

Fabio Wajngarten, a top communications aide to President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil, tested positive days after accompanying him to Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort and posing for a photo with the president and Vice President Mike Pence. In the photo, which he posted on social media, Mr. Wajngarten is standing shoulder to shoulder with Mr. Trump, who is clutching a brown “Make Brazil Great Again” baseball cap.

A video from the event also showed Mr. Wajngarten standing directly behind Mr. Trump and Mr. Bolsonaro as they spoke to a crowd.

But it's okay, They've been cleared by a medical expert.

But the White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, played down Mr. Trump’s level of exposure. “Both the president and vice president had almost no interactions with the individual who tested positive and do not require being tested at this time,” Ms. Grisham said in a statement on Thursday.

Well, to be fair Trump is the healthiest US President ever to hold office - and he has a letter from a doctor to prove it!
