• Her 100% record in Congress for pro-LGBT legislation,
• That she co-sponsored the Expanded & Improved Medicare For All Act.
• Her proposal to tax stock and bond trades to make community college tuition free for all Americans while making all four-year colleges tuition free for students with an annual family income of $125,000 or less.
• Her support of restoring the Glass-Steagall Act, breaking up too-big-to-fail banks, strengthening protections against predatory lending practices, increasing capital requirements for the nation’s largest banks, and banning naked credit default swaps.
• Her Sierra Club endorsements.
• Protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline in person.
• Sponsoring legislation to require GMO labeling.
• Supporting eliminating corporate income tax breaks for "offshoring"

Who the hell knows what Pete stands for, other than personal ambition. He's a guy that speaks well and looks good in a suit that rich people are throwing money at. He's young enough that his terrible centrist stances haven't had the time to age like milk, which makes him more appealing than Biden. As far as being a technocratic centrist liberal, I suppose he's better than HRC.

Having talked to a local person ( I am his customer), I am more and more convinced that there absolutely nothing Democrats can do to approach Trump voters, white working class etc. The democrats can only work on putting forward a convincing candidate and have people show up. People that need the government, people who can work with what is offered.

The Trumpists do not even want health insurance. "Them democrats should just get a job to get insurance." There are no issues for the government to handle for them. No consumer protection, no protection from banks, internet providers, scams etc. No global warming for sure. In fact the word global is bad. That would be a job for the gov't for them: keep the globe outside us.

It's going to cost 30 trillion!

Nobody argues the logical items, issues. Say x doctors treat 50 million Americans each year for 20 years and 30 trillion. It is going to cost us the same amt for us to pay for it whether it is Medicare for all or a bunch of insurance companies. Except the bill will be 30 trilliom plus 20% if we use the insurance companies.

So there is no benefit from the insurance companies.

The healthcare providers would be private in both cases.

It is going to cost us the same amt for us to pay for it whether it is Medicare for all or a bunch of insurance companies. So there is no benefit from the insurance companies.

What you miss out in your equation is that doctors that do the cosmetic surgery that holds Melania together may not be prepared to treat poor sick children.
