This whole Brexit kerfuffle shows the superiority of the American System. Something like this would require a Constitutional Amendment, a non-binding referendum with such a slim majority would never get off the ground.

Ya'll should have joined us when you had the chance, by now you'd have AR-15s and big pick-up trucks.

But how would you feel about a sweaty migrant getting his hand on all your German sausage?

The worst curry I've ever had was on the Isle of Wight.

There used to be a curry house in Hanover Street. It was the pits but dirt cheap. This was in the days of pubs shutting at 10pm.

Exactly.
When the Brits take back control, they'll be allowed to close their pubs at 10 again.

Well it was the Festival that triggered the change. I would be very difficult to return to those days. With price of beer nobody could afford it.

I remember buying a pint of Carlsberg for 1/6d. I thought that was bloody expensive...

I like the Mosque Kitchen on Nicholson Square - the one round the back next to the Mosque, not the one on Nicholson St for the tourists. You get 2 quid off it you take your own bowls, cups & cutlery.
