No, I said that you brought that to the conversation, and in ignoring my qualifications proceeded on the false assumption that I thought he was an Economic Liberal. Where I've used the term economic liberal I've meant economically liberal - my views have be qualified and I'm not fixated on terms defined as constants.

You said he wasn't a centrist but that he was centre-left - ignoring the fact that centre-right and centre-left perspectives both exist under the centrist banner. You said that he isn't a liberal, he's a social democrat - ignoring the fact that social democrats assert a centrist political perspective that embraces free market economics, that is; the classic liberal economics of Smith and Ricardo etc. I think 'centrist' is a reasonable term that can be applied to his perspective, because I don't think his politics are as radical as they appear in the context of US politics.
