Applying for my Swazi gun license. It's a non-trivial exercise. Have to be a resident, show a verifiable need, be of good moral character (I'm not giving them my Ratz account), and probably pay somebody off. Going for a .308 bolt action and a 12 gauge shotgun, gotta keep the Mau Maus out of the living room. Once I get the permit I then have to submit paperwork for each gun. The shotgun should be no problem since we've got an address in the bush and there are snakes all over the show (Swazis are shit scared of snakes and pretty much kill all of them on sight). Rifle might be more difficult but I've got Matt, who manages the game reserve and is a bona-fide Swazi game ranger, to vouch for me. Might have to take the course to be a registered ranger, then I can go on patrol with him and shoot poachers. Cool. Next time he has to cull the impala herds he's taking me with him. Impalas breed like rats, apparently, there's a shitload of them. Might get a chance at sonething bigger down the road. That's if I can remember how to hunt, it's been a long time since I shot anything that was alive. If all goes well we should have beaucoup game meat by this time next year.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Peacock missed it by 1 day! Better luck next time.
Oh, I hope not.

Next prediction: November 8, 12 killed. Under-over, Roger?

A real man would ride the Impala back to the homestead and then throttle it with his bare hands.

Just sayin' :tea:

Can't bring it home. Mrs Lak would give it a name and let it up on the sofa.

I think there were several before this one actually. In fact there were two in Houston alone after I posted the original thread.

The big one is still to come. With that in mind it's surely better to go with under on both counts.

Yeah, but how under, and by how much, that's the question. I mean, predicting another US mass shooting at the moment is a bit like predicting that someone is going to fall out of bed tonight - we all know it's going to happen, unfortunately.
