Yep, big fat assed, zero healthcare, no savings, drowning in debt, working till they're 80 Americans, just can't wait to get up every day to keep on keeping on brother!
Who knows, things could turn around for you, right? If you work hard and get with Jesus the sky's the limit baby!

I hope the ladies are enjoying themselves at work today. Some 80% of them claim to be living paycheck to paycheck.
Keep it up! Focus on how terrible the rest of the world is while your handlers take home 300+ % more than you. They work harder than you right?
No, Republicans say they take more risk than you. Is that true, come on women, be honest, how much risk are you living with right now?

We stayed one night in Austin our last trip to Texas. Some prostitutes got walked away ftom the motel. It was like Super 8 or some big chain.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 6:29 pmAustin reality:

Though when we were in Florida, Miami side, late 60s, WE checked out at midnight when the neighbors started yelling loudly followed by a gun shot. The manager stayed in the office gun in hand waiting for the cops.

Yep, Texas is the respectable side of the family.
My dad lived in Florida. Several years ago I went searching for him. I found my oldest stepbrother first, he was doing time. Next I found the youngest, he was also doing time. Then I found my stepmom, who was doing time. Finally, someone told me my dad had died!
Fuckin' Florida man.

Florida, the rules are different here.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Anyway, it doesn't matter much, except that Trump trolled us into looking at a few awful cities, presided over by democrats.
What's next? Didn't he arrange so that he could recall mis-used Federalibux? I can't remember exactly...I just know that he will be (if he is smart) making the Dems look as bad as possible, right before the election. Taking down a few corruption cases in Democrat-controlled cities could do that.
Not that there isn't also corruption in Rep cities, but it wouldn't serve the Trump campaign as well.

Sorry, I didn't know your interests and research just so happened to coincide with recent, like yesterday's, Republican talking points. You gotta admit it could look like you were repeating them.

Today, a Republican talker mentioned that Dems always use that phrase for questions they can't answer.
Do you seriously avoid all Republican media? Don't you even want to know what they are saying?

Fuck the Republicans and the Democrats Cunt, and all the media they own. It's like being asked if I want to sit in the same class for eternity! I suppose I should ask you just what the hell you're still learning from it.
I vote Democrats because I've got some pathetic hope that they will incrementally take us somewhere better in step with the changing population.

I think it's best when the two parties are strongest. Right now, the left seems disconnected from reality. There are a few hopefuls, but so far, I wouldn't spend the effort to vote for either.
I've got this coming up in a more concrete way (Canadian elections coming) and we have a leader who is called 'Potato' by another world leader, and the fucking toolbag thinks its a compliment. That's the Liberals. The Progressive Conservatives are the other main choice, with their last leader (Harper) changing the rules around science communication to really piss off the people trying to work in it.
So far, I have a neighbour who is running. He runs an extermination company, doing all the work himself. Dirty boots always count as points to the 'pro' side when I consider a politician. Plenty of folks drift in there from government jobs, or the not-for-profit sector. Maybe just as smart, but I really like a person who does work which can be more easily recognized. There may be others, I think my area is a bit of a clown-car.
My guess is that a large proportion of the candidates will chant the mantra of the D.I.E. religion (Diversity, Inclusion and Equity)
Hopefully, some will actually have something meaningful to say.

Re: Republicans: continued
I don't want a strong Republican party; not in its current incarnation anyway.
--//--
I hate how parties in the US have come to own their own set of values. It makes this discussion impossible. The reality is that all these values are human, and while politicians can be expected to ignore good sense in an effort to chase a win, I think it's absurd that even professionals and academics have taken to talking about Republican values, and Democrat values.
That's important here, because I want to say that Republican values are good! A Republican party without the Evangelicals, which looks possible to me, believe it or not, without the anti-science, has something to bring to the table.
I am of course always talking about the people here, the public's voice, and not necessarily politicians which bring something to the table.

Re: Republicans: continued
There is very little education around what the two parties even stand for. Picture this - a Dem and a Rep describing each others political philosophies, in a way that meets the others' approval.
Like, have Crenshaw state the Democrat platform in a way that Pelosi agrees with, and have Pelosi state the Republican platform the same way.
If a couple politicians could do that, I think it would be a very big deal. I can't think of any right now who do.
I mean, look at the Brexit thing...It is a complicated issue, with several reasons for voting stay or leave, but you will find it a LOT easier to vilify one side by calling them racist white nationalists. The issue would benefit from serious consideration of both sides.
Like most would.

Build the wall and deport all the illegals!
Cheaper and quicker healthcare.
Cheaper and more abundant housing.
Less crowded schools.
Higher minimum wage.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
