State of Emergency!

Post by maiforpeace » Sat Aug 15, 2009 12:22 am

They are getting ready to declare a Federal State of Emergency only a few miles from where I live. It's starting to get scary now. If the wind goes the wrong way the forest fire can come to my home. :(
I just drove into town, and there's an acrid, yellow brown smoke in the air everywhere. I feel like I've smoked 50 cigarettes. My beautiful, redwood forest is in flames! It's the ultimate 4/20 up there with all those lovely marijuana crops going up in smoke!

That's not good news, mai. I really hope they can get it contained soon. I drove through that country a couple of years ago and it is horrible to think of it all being incinerated. Keep us informed.

Thanks guys!

Good news, they contained 15% last night. The fog rolled in, which really helped dampen things moisture and wind wise.

We are prone to fires over here as well but it hasn't been too bad this year, what gets my goat is that most are started intentionally, fucking wankers :lay:
Be safe.
