It's illegal for federal workers to strike, and a fire able offence. Maybe Trump can trick the EPA into striking so he could fire them all

it should be a hanging offence to deprive federal workers in good standing of their livelihood, ergo, impossible to end up in a shutdown, if you can't strike and can be made to work whatever the circumstances, there should be no way that you can do this and not be paid, all work deserves wages, period.
