BBC, Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle, i24 news, France 24... there are a lot of state-owned news outlets around these days.

That's not what the facist Trump is after though. These outlets don't serve as personal propoganda for their leaders. Rather they are there to keep the public informed.

This isn't what Trump wants. As evident by the comment about it being there to "counter CNN lies".
