WTF!

'A humiliation': Outcry after Mexico president gives highest honour to Jared Kushner
Enrique Peña Nieto to hand Trump son-in-law the Order of the Aztec Eagle for trade work
How can this happen?
You are only surprised because you are woefully uninformed, ignorant, and biased. But don't worry, the Guardian was right with you - they made sure to cast it as a story about those who oppose Trump, not a story about a diplomatic success.

It's like the Mexican protesters who declare that Trump was correct about the caravan, and that the caravan assholes need to go the fuck home and leave Mexico. The media is as incredulous as you, because they cannot compute Mexicans not wanting thousands of illegal aliens in Tijuana. The media films a mother who was irresponsible enough to take children on a 2000 km journey through the deserts and highways of Mexico, and claims that's who the caravan is -- when the Mexicans themselves say that most of them are adult males, and most of them are not seeking asylum from political or religious persecution but are looking for jobs and also include substantial criminal element - the media - and you - start grinding your gears and having smoke come out your ears because it's rubbing the wrong way against the narrative you seek to sell.

You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

If Trump is still in the WH 2021 the report will be ”how global warming fighting measures are futile and unfair to US”

The White House statement called for the need for greater transparency and claimed that the next NCA, due out around 2021, will give an "opportunity to provide for a more transparent and data-driven process that includes fuller information on the range of potential scenarios and outcomes."

Die hard Trump supporter Scavino has something to do with #TheTrumpTrain and his tweets:
What Scavino was offering were the services of a registered independent who had no experience in politics. He had only one qualification: He was a Trump die-hard. Lewandowski hired him on the spot. In June 2015, the two men, along with Hicks and the political adviser Sam Nunberg, moved into a cramped office on the 24th floor of Trump Tower. Scavino’s first assignment was to try to find big-ticket contributors to Trump’s campaign, an effort that proved fruitless, as the Republican donor class did not take his candidacy seriously. Scavino would later be enjoined to cultivate relationships within the Republican National Committee, which at that time viewed the bombastic New York businessman and reality-TV star with eye-rolling skepticism. He had no luck with that effort either.

A more suitable job for Scavino materialized shortly after Trump’s formal announcement of his candidacy on June 16, 2015.

OUCH! for Trump.

Senate vote on Yemen rebukes Trump administration's pro-Saudi stance
Senators allow floor vote on cutting US military aid for war
Mattis and Pompeo fail to dampen unease about US-Saudi ties

The Senate has delivered a significant rebuke to the Trump administration by defying the advice of its top officials and advancing a measure that would cut US military support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

The Republican-majority chamber voted 63-37 to allow the measure, which invokes the War Powers Resolution, stopping all involvement of US armed forces in the Yemen war, to proceed to the floor of the Senate for a vote, expected next week.

Punish GM and fake global warming at the same time! Win ewin!

Twitter Ads info and privacy
Obviously, the president of the United States threatening to punish a private company for making a decision based on market realities that are partially his fault is . . . really something! But the whole thing takes on some extra hilarity when you realize, for the 927th time this year, what this not-at-all-smart guy is unintentionally proposing. As Dan Primack points out, subsidies for G.M.-specific electric vehicles do not exist. Rather, there are industry-wide federal tax credits of up to $7,500 available for purchasers of U.S. electric cars, with “aggregate caps of 200,000 vehicles per manufacturer.” In other words, getting rid of the subsidy in its current form would hurt both American consumers and other auto manufacturers.

So instead of just answering the question by explaining Kushner's vital role in the negotiations to update NAFTA, you go off grinding your gears about those nasty caravan people. I'd think you would take the opportunity to show off a Trump administration success led by the first "'nepotee" and celebrate the welcome demonstration of ability.

What's the appropriate smilie?

Adam Schiff, the incoming chair of the House Intelligence Committee, says Cohen’s plea changes things for his committee.

Kyle Cheney (@kyledcheney)

SCHIFF says Cohen plea undercuts all of Trump’s denials about financial entanglements with Russia, says Congress must investigate whether Russia has leverage over Trump.

President Donald Trump told reporters outside the White House that “Cohen is being a weak person and trying to get a reduced sentence so he’s lying about a project everyone knew about.”
