My morning paper had a screaming headline, "Blue Avalanche." The Dem's did well here in Colorado, winning governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Treasurer. They already had the State House, and picked up the State Senate. I'm sorry to see the current Secretary of State go, he's been doing a good job.

On balance, we passed initiatives to strip the Legislature of State and Federal redistricting power. That ought to be interesting.

Now, I guess we get to see what the Democrats do with the US House. Maybe, we'll finally see Trump's tax returns, if they decide to further lower the bar.

Oh, who am I kidding! Of course, they'll lower the bar. It's easier than lowering healthcare costs. :lay:

Florida has a "far left"? :ask:

The west coast is far left... if you are Genghis Khan...
Gillum is pretty far left. Abolish ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), make Florida a sanctuary state, open borders, double corporate taxes, Medicare for all, free university tuition, the usual "Progressive" bullshit. He'd fit in nicely in California.

It was close, though, really close, in both the Governor and Senate races. If we could just saw the state in half just north of Miami it would solve a lot of problems. Let them drift down to Venezuela where they belong.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Don't mind Lackey. He and Coito Two are like peas in a pod.

Nah, 42 buttresses his arguments with citations and facts, I'm just a selfish cunt who doesn't care about the less fortunate.

Gillum is extremely left in his policies. He's more left than European left.

We dodged a bullet here.

The overall election was not much of a "wave." 2010 for the Republicans saw a much larger wave, and that wave continued in 2012. Yesterday will turn out to look something like the Democrat house swing under Bush. Significant, but not unusual.

Naturally, the Democrat bootlicker media is calling this a repudiation of Trump, as I predicted.

Beto's loss is a victory. Trump's entire cabinet now needs to "lawyer up" because here come the Democrat investigatory committees. Impeach Trump! Impeach Trump!

If those dickfaces would just get on the train, the US could be at 5 or even 6% GDP, and we could have such a demand for employees that we could double or triple our employment based immigration.

Better to share a pod with Lak, rather than some screaming meemie bleating on about the latest Progressive nonsense. Lak likes good beer and has some common sense. Plus, I know I'll never have to ask what he 'identifies" as.

Yeah, I've considered moving to Colorado Springs. But you don't pay teachers very well. It's not the worst, but there are better. I wonder how your education is ranked? Missouri pays its teachers the least. Wasn't Trump huge there too? In fact, holy shit, the lowest paying states are Trump states. --huh

The Democratic filibuster prevented a lot of legislation in 2017/18, controlling the House won't change much in that regard. However, their choice of their most vitriolic and unhinged representatives for important committee chairs will. Imagine 2 years of Maxine flapping her gums and investigating everything from Russia to Trump's toilet habits. The Democrats who took GOP House seats were, almost to a man (or whatever they identify as) moderate, centrist, and many flat out said they would not support Pelosi for Speaker. That was a calculated and smart move from the Dems, which was surprising. But leopards don't change spots, they will throw their support behind the Loony Wing of the party. The moderate Dems will be pushed to the rear in favor of drooling morons like Occasio what's her face and the aforementioned Maximum Maxine. One might be forgiven for asking exactly WHY they'll do this, but it's standard Democratic procedure that when a strategy fails, double down. They did it with Obamacare, they did it with Qualitative Easing, they did it with the Stimulus Package. If a policy fails, then just add more of the same policy. They'll move further and further left, alienating yet more of their core electorate. This basically gives Trump 2020 on a silver platter. They can't get anything past the Senate, not with a 5 to 7 seat majority. The disproportionate influence of squishy Republicans like Murkowski and Collins will disappear. SCOTUS belongs to the GOP for at least the next generation. Dems seriously miscalculated, and it's not the first time. You think they'd have learned something in the last few years, but evidently not.

I hope you're right lak. It's time to bring this fight to the fore and keep it there till it's settled. If the American people want to be backward Republicans, then let's confront them with their insanity every day.

Buy a boat big enough to live on, that's my advice. Never know when you might need to get the fuck outta Dodge. I hear Costa Rico is pretty nice this time of year. You're welcome in Swaziland, bring Corona, it's expensive there.

Again, how is Pelosi a looney? I've asked this before and no one can give me an answer. Every time I've heard her speak it's always been reasonable and sensible. I haven't heard an argument against her which didn't resort to some sexism.
