Manufacturing gains under Obama came after the 2008 crash. That's "regains", not "gains." What Obama was talking about in 2016 was the overall trend line. The "great sucking sound" that H. Ross Perot predicted would occur with NAFTA.

The right wing "NPR" in 2012 - https://www.npr.org/sections/money/2012 ... -president

And here is CNBC showing what jobs are thriving under Trump: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/01/this-ch ... trump.html and how he set economic growth on fire - https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/07/how-tru ... -fire.html

And, of course, it's either really Obama's actions that did it, and the economy is thriving despite Trump, or the President does nothing. However, the "President does nothing" line was not leveled against Obama. He got all the credit when he was President.

Weren't you promising more manufacturing jobs at the time?
Me? What are you asking?

I just used you in place of Trump/Republicans. Sorry, I forget that you're not a Republican sometimes.

"regains" not "gains" Like it's a given that it should be at a certain level.

Anyway, I didn't give Obama credit. I don't think a President can move these things like that.

Well, I don't see how you can't credit Trump with a lot of what has been done since February of 2017. He spearheaded all the efforts to renegotiate treaties, lower taxes, reduce regulatory burden, etc., all of which has had a positive effect on the economy.

Joe Biden: Trump 'more like George Wallace than George Washington'

The Washington Examiner ^ | October 23, 2018 | Katelyn Caralle
Former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday likened President Trump to former Alabama Gov. George Wallace, a vocal adversary of the Civil Rights movement and supporter of segregation. “Trump and Republicans settle on fear and falsehoods as a midterm strategy,” Biden said during a rally at Cheyenne Saloon in Orlando, Fla., CNN reported. "No president has ever led by fear. Not Lincoln. Not Roosevelt. Not Kennedy. Not Reagan. This president is more like George Wallace than George Washington.” Biden said, on the other hand, the Democrats are running on hope and unity instead of fear and division....

Good job Trump! You will be golfing to the end. Or you can quit.

Wallace is from the South. They have Democrat rednecks and Republican rednecks there. This is so you could “choose” between two white guy rednecks at the ballot.

They portray a confident man in charge at the oval office

I see all that as just more assholery. Maybe you had to be there, as a journalist?

Here we go the Trump Dynasty:

Could Donald Trump Jr be the next US president? Be afraid
George W Bush followed in his father’s footsteps and Don Jr’s involvement in the midterm elections campaign makes clear that he, too, has political ambitions. How far will he go?
