Re: Queen
Some of my favorites. Although I think A Day at the Races was their best, when I'm in the mood for Queen, I usually find myself reaching for Jazz or News of the World.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Re: Queen
it's late is fantastic as is In only seven days. How about My Melancholy Blues?
Re: Queen
My fantasy geek side is kind of partial to Seven Seas of Rhye and some of the stuff they did for Highlander (Who Wants to Live Forever, Princes of the Universe).
I have a CD of "Queen's Greatest Hits as Performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra" - which seemed like a great idea, but unfortunately the recording quality leaves something to be desired... I think they used one of these:

Re: Queen
I'm not sure I've ever heard "A Kind of Magic." I despise "Radio Ga Ga." Well, actually, it's a decent song. Except for the parts he keeps saying "radio gaga, radio goo goo." I mean, what the fuck?Animavore wrote:They're so full of cheese they have to be hidden from Klr and MONF when they're around.Flora wrote:I like those.Animavore wrote:It's a Kind of Magic, Radio Ga Ga, Fat Bottom Girls, Flash, I Want To Break Free... etc... all that rot.tattuchu wrote:What? What turned me off of Queen was when they came out with "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." I HATED these songs. They weren't Queen. This wasn't Queen anymore, it was something else entirely. And it was something I didn't care for in the slightest. "Under Pressure" I didn't mind so much, because I love Bowie. But it was a little too commercial sounding for my tastes.

Re: Queen
Queen lost it for me when Freddie cut his hair. They had a very brief last flurry with Innuendo - the title track was the best thing they had done for decades.

Re: Queen
To dance around one's front room with a 2 year old and a 5 year old, all singing "Mustapha", "Fat Bottomed Girls", and "Bicycle Race" at the top of our voices is an experience I will treasure until my brain fails me.
