Juries are encuraged to decide and people think their ”work” should get credited. If I ever end up on a jury again I may vote against the majority just to throw the case out. About 50% of cases are too imconclusive to decide. Unfortunately I will never be on a case where forensic evidence is good. The lawyers for both sides reject scientists. They like to work with eye witnesses being the star witnesses.

I'll never be on a jury, public servants, are not allowed, apparently because they are deemed to have conflict of interest between being state employees and jury duty, and it seems that policy if continued for former ones.

They are experts at one thing: putting advertising money in high gamble political markets. TV reaches those people that are never polled by phone.

We are in a state where the governor bought his way in. You can’t go door to door to farmers. He buys all the media he can for his favored state senators. With a population of a few million, maximum 5, this is possible.

Yeah, but you are going the other way to them. They start with my real name and then need to find what I've written as a crazy anonymous person. By putting my real name here (actually I'm not sure that you've outed my last name), then all it takes is a simple google search to find some of my crazy writing.
