Why would we want: funding for the wall and border security to prevent the large numbers of illegal immigrants crossing the border whether by foot, car, or plane.

Big waste of public funds. Spend the money on roads and bridges. You can have 500 paddywagons to round up illegals.

The Democrats have already agreed that they'll vote yes on wall and border security. The thing they object to is that they want immigrants to be able to apply to get their adult children (and their families) and their older parents (and their other family members) in. That's what they're hanging their hat on.

Trump is also giving the Democrats what they want in terms of an "infrastructure" rebuilding plan. That's something he wants that the Democrats love.

So, they have no way to say no and retain credibility.

Keeping millions more illegal aliens from coming in and switching to an employment/merit based immigration system in place of extended family immigration would save billions of dollars.

Can you explain the basis for your assertion?

That's wild. The jails are full of Mexicans. They used to be full of blacks. They still are, I mean blacks are still locked up far more often than they should be, but I would have bet Mexicans make up the majority in jails here now.

You have to compare the number of criminals to the total number of people from that country. This number lumped together a number of immigrant groups. It was not sorted out by nationality. Muslim immigrants included.

Scott Lloyd, a longtime crusader against abortion who heads the agency that oversees undocumented minors who enter the country without their parents, spoke with staffers about trying to reverse the abortion of a pregnant teen in their custody, according to a deposition he underwent as part of a lawsuit between the Trump administration and the American Civil Liberties Union.

In the past few years, opponents of abortion have championed the idea of halting a medication abortion midway by using the hormone progesterone. Anti-abortion activists have pushed governors in four states to sign laws requiring healthcare providers to tell patients about this so-called “abortion reversal” method. But there is no credible medical evidence that such a procedure works, and the mainstream medical community worries that using it amounts to experimentation on women.
