Err, Hi from Sisifo/cdagulleiro
Just new, rules read, faq read.
Someone suggested this forum as a RDF complement so here I am. For the moment and just browsing around, It has given me some laughs. I mean, intentioned laughs. I don't know how much introduce about myself, and how much leave in a mysterious fog, but lets see.
I'm 35, Spanish from Spain, not from the south of Texas, economist and diplomat (that's what I do, not what I am) and I live and go to the office (I'm reluctant to say "work") in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. I have been outside Europe for the past 8 years (already?) having lived&worked before in Irak, Syria, Jordan, UAE, Egypt, Dominican Republic (the marks of my nails in the airport are still there, from when they sent me back to the Arab countries), Senegal, Mauritania, Cote d'Ivore and Cape Verde. Don't ask me about Islam (I'm still clueless), but I give good traveling advice.
Be nice to my newbyness and read you around.
Carlos

Howdy and bienvenido!! A few of us have been to Saigon/Ho Chi Minh. Some of us have fond memories of the place. At least one of us plans to go back. Hope you like the forum. Don't mind the smell.

Hey there.

Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

Hi and welcome! I hear tell that Saigon is a nice place to be these days! I know the Far East well, especially Hong Kong and Malaysia and always wanted to go to Vietnam. 'Course when I was a kind there was the matter of a little war going on there - maybe that put me off later in life.
Anyway - welcome and have fun!

Welcome Carlos/Sisifo! Hope you like the place and stick around.
