A Cure for Wellness
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver in THE ASSIGNMENT. Awesome film. Ignore negative reviews -- critics are dumbheads.

“The Turkey Trot, Grizzly Bear and Other Naughty Diversions”

“Starting as if in the good old-fashioned Two-Step, the dancers suddenly let go hands, the man slipping behind his fair companion, there is a little step and a hop, something like a turkey might be expected to do, then a fresh grip around the waist of the young lady, the man snuggles up ever so closely behind her and they hop, skip and jump and half run along.”

Well I went to see Victoria and Abdul this afternoon. Not a film I would have gone to see alone, but I'm always on the lookout for films I can take my 91 year old mum to.

I was pleasantly surprised too. Judy Dench was spectacular as was a secondary character - a Muslim friend of the eponymous Abdul. The British aristocrats were a bit one dimensional and universally loathsome - which perhaps they were in real life of course.

Worth a rainy afternoon in the high priced confectionery emporium we call cinemas these days.

Went and saw Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which was as far-fetched, over-the-top crazy as you'd expect, though there was nothing as messed up as the church slaughter scene from the first one.

C'mon. We've all thought about it.

Slapstick comedy abound in what must surely be the longest shootout in cinematic history.

Took my dear old mom to see Goodbye Christopher Robin this wet and cold Autumn afternoon. Borderline I would have gone just for myself, but I am glad I did - and I would have, now I've seen it.

It is the story about the real people involved with the Winnie the Pooh stories, particularly AA Milne's son - the eponymous Christopher Robin and how they came about as a sort of therapy for PTSD after WW1.

A real weepy - lost a tear or two myself, but not remotely maudling or exploitative. Superb acting and a portrayal of the old fashioned stiff upper lip of the English middle classes second to none. A sad story but very much worth a watch.

I've read good reviews about My Life as a Courgette. Are they justified?
