Thank you Sean. I didn't know about that site. Checked it out. It's open minded. In the limited time so far, the most interesting file there seems to be the one titled "0003: Skeptics". They pretty much agree that there's only a matter of decades left.

They mention converging with the AI, as in augmentation, cyborgs, and such. But to me that's more unstable (as in infections, implant rejection, corrosion of electrodes, interfacing & translating between two totally dissimilar devices, etc) than a purely solid state electronic device, as in our computers.

So they're more optimistic than me. World history generally shows that a superior intellect/organism will not tolerate competition in fields where its interests overlap the inferior intellect/organism. That's blunt, but its Nature.
