Turks identifying as German.

Have you asked for their preferred ethnic designation? Turk-German? German? Turk? Ottoman? Ethnic-fluid? Non-ethnically binary?

:fp:
It is only problematic because you confuse "race" with ethnicity.

Until you work this one out, you'll not be worth the effort of engaging in conversation.

You missed the fact that the idea that it is problematic is coming out of the leftist progressive social justice camp.
You miss the fact that I couldn't give a toss.

Ethnicity and nationality are social constructs. You may think they're Belgian fries, but the person making them may well identify as French. Check your privilege.
bugger it, I've made a comparison, and it's nothing like a construct, it's tasty fact

What if one identifies as genetically predetermined?

You mean: What if a social construct identifies as genetically predetermined?

Since identity is a social construct, then one identifying as genetically predetermined would make one genetically predetermined, and therefore not a social construct. Basic human respect would require that people honor identity, and therefore if someone wants to claim a genetic identity then that's reality.

A social construct identifying as genetically predetermined would be biological appropriation.

I just biologically appropriated the wings of several chickens.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Roast beef is no more English than the weekend. As for you liking Yorkshire pudding, I'm not surprised. You do live in Melbourne, right?
