Domiciled in Pasadena, CA, U.S.A, the Ark of Noah Foundation is a U.S. government registered 501(c)3 non-profit foundation. The Ark of Noah is used for exhibit and Christian educational purposes and available for events.

The Ark of Noah Foundation is raising donations to transport the Ark of Noah from The Netherlands to several ports in Brazil this Summer 2016, and to sponsor orphans and other children, as well as underprivileged families to visit the Ark of Noah for free.

The Ark of Noah Foundation focuses on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and social outreach to the underprivileged. Donations will also be used to bring needy Brazilian children, families and orphans to visit the Ark of Noah exhibit where they will each receive a bible. This will be a once in a lifetime experience for many, and we rely on your donations and support.
It's a fucking ark, built to the lord's specs, built to withstand 40 days and 40 nights of delugial rain and horrible storms. I guess the big guy forgot to specify sails or a motor for it to make it move. Amazing, isn't it. Any connection to the fact that the people of Israel really did not know fuck all about boat building or sailing? And, any bets on how far the ark will get while being towed across the Atlantic? A wooden frame boat of that size will disintegrate in the waves.

The vessel is steel framed. Also, I don't think the plan is to tow it.

Wrong, god created France as a country to be happy in.

Isn't France just the country for God to eat in? I.e. his canteen? Most canteens are fucking depressing.

We have the same saying "Leven als god in Frankrijk".

The idiom "Wie Gott in Frankreich" was attributed to the German emperor Maximilian I, who died in 1519, in Zincgref-Weidner's Apophthegmata (Leipzig 1693). Having googled this important titbit, I am optimistic of being able to sleep later tonight.

You won't be able to sleep tonight. :hehe:

The only reference to "Glücklich wie Gott in Frankreich" I could find is in French, and having put some of it through Google translate it became obvious that it was about the German occupation of France rather than an etymological examination of the idiom.
