You think a bomb with a 1 mile blast radius, causes shock waves enough to kill people at 1.7, and deafness up 2 miles and cause damage up to 5 only hit the bad guys?JimC wrote:I have no objection to wiping out a cave full of jihadists...

And what about the caves? The bats? The underground water that is connected? The water moves underground huge distances! Really, dealing with jihadists is one thing, bombing caves another.

CIA has labeled wikileaks a hostile intelligence organization, or something along those lines. Wikileaks could be not long for this world...

If it is in an area with only the bad guys in a cave, then yeah...Animavore wrote:You think a bomb with a 1 mile blast radius, causes shock waves enough to kill people at 1.7, and deafness up 2 miles and cause damage up to 5 only hit the bad guys?JimC wrote:I have no objection to wiping out a cave full of jihadists...

Fortunately no civilians live within the two kilometre radius of the bomb blast. We know that because Reuters reports that Afghan Ministry of Defence spokesman General Dawlat Waziri said no civilians were harmed.JimC wrote:If it is in an area with only the bad guys in a cave, then yeah...Animavore wrote:You think a bomb with a 1 mile blast radius, causes shock waves enough to kill people at 1.7, and deafness up 2 miles and cause damage up to 5 only hit the bad guys?JimC wrote:I have no objection to wiping out a cave full of jihadists...

It still hurts. In many countries the military has laid hand on the caves as they are strategic objects so I guess it cannot be helped. This is the speleologist credo though:
1. Take nothing but pictures!
2. Leave nothing but footprints!
3. Kill nothing but time!

I'm going to avoid reading that - and I mirrored Wikileaks for 6 months when the US was trying to take it down. Assange used to add clarrity but now only adds confusion.DRSB wrote:Full Interview: Julian Assange on Trump, DNC Emails, Russia, the CIA, Vault 7 & More

That would be a good point, if Trump did not have a plank in his platform involving complete destruction of ISIS, and I think it is reasonable to suggest that dropping a MOAB on ISIS occupied caves might be directed at addressing.Animavore wrote:Heh. What links? A pattern of communications between whom and involving what?
Unnamed "intelligence sources" say a pattern of communications was found by chance between unnamed persons and other unnamed persons, suggesting a "link" between Trump's team and Russia.

Re: We Need To Talk About Donald
Blue collar America First supporters losing their voice in DC, Bannon sidelined
Politico"A lot of us look at Steve Bannon as the voice of conservatism in the White House," said King, who has known Bannon for years.
The displeasure over Bannon’s reduced status has trickled down to Trump’s grass-roots army of volunteers. Among those unsettled is Shane Bouvet, a 24-year-old campaign volunteer and blue-collar single father from Illinois who became something of a hero in the Trump movement. On the eve of the inauguration, Trump, who had read about how Bouvet trekked across the country by car so he could watch the swearing-in, gave him a check for $10,000.
Bouvet later said the gift saved the life of his father, who was battling cancer and needed the money to cover medical costs.
That day, Bouvet also was introduced to Bannon. The two spoke briefly, and Bouvet came to identify with the adviser who, like him, represented a “forgotten America” that Trump had appealed to with his blue-collar pitch. He said in an interview that he still supports the president, but is troubled by reports that Bannon is on the outs and that senior adviser Jared Kushner, a New York City real estate scion, is accumulating influence.

Re: We Need To Talk About Donald
So much for Bannon as the power behind the President. A couple of weeks ago, Bannon was the true shadow authority behind the administration.... now he's persona non grata, and that's a bad thing... lol
