Simple-minded fundamentalists like Pense are good for recruitment sure ( the Republican party has long been the natural recipient of the idiot vote), but I can't see most the GOP actually wanting to live in the kind of state that Pense would like to see, basically turning the US into the Christian equivalent of Iran.

pence might want that, but there's no way he could effect it even if he tried, he'd have both congress and the judiciary against him, and I doubt that even a SCOTUS with a worse ideologue than Scalia to replace him would have the guts to forget the first amendment.

Yes, but what hacking? Has "the hacking" been defined? Which time period? 2015? 2016? Was it the Wikileaks DNC hacking or was it other attempted hacking that has also been talked about.

I've seen too much careful wording to simply trust (from Clapper, a guy who lied about the NSA data collection, under oath, to Congress, by making "the least untruthful answer possible") a guy who makes a general statement. The January 6 report refers to that "multi-faceted campaign" most of which was a reference to Russia today, and "the hacking" referred to in that report occupies less than one page of that lengthy report. The bit about hacking (actually "cyber espionage", which is not necessarily "hacking" but could be another form of cyber espionage), was not linked to Russia with evidence.

So, I know Clapper says what the report says, and he says "that's the report and that's our assessment" basically. But, that's not convincing. Not to me, anyway. It may be to you. It's not to me.
