Nope Science is just knowledge.

Ignorance is however cross-cultural.

It's still happening now. Fact. We've had warm periods and ice-ages. Fact.

We've had a tiny bit of warming, since 1950. Fact. That's all down to our burning of fossil fuels? ffffffbollox.

Could be down to anything. Climate's always doing something.
Watch this and learn some science.

All you have to do now is argue that the amount of CO2, and other greenhouse gasses, in the atmosphere is not a significant or contributory factor in global warming.

And all YOU have to do is go outside, on a clear night, and you should notice that we are not in a gigantic glass bottle.
Get her to repeat the experiment, without the glass, why don't you?

Another difference is that the Earth experiment is conducted in a vacuum, at a temperature of close to -273 deg. whereas she's in a nice warm lab, at about 23 degrees.

So you see, there ARE subtle differences, if you bother to look.

Mr M. Ask yourself why the carbon dioxide molecules in the atmosphere--along with all the other molecules--don't float off into space and why the planet isn't as cold as the void which surrounds it. Then you can dispute the tabletop experiment which demonstrates the thermal capacity of CO2 before arguing that the level of atmospheric CO2 isn't a significant or contributory factor in global warming.

You're talking to yourself. I've never said that CO2 isn't a greenhouse gas. Of course it is.
Is it as critical as they make out? Nobody knows. There are many other factors at play besides the 0.04% of the atmosphere that is CO2.

Why hasn't the earth had runaway global warming in the past? CO2 levels have been much higher in the past. The reason is that other factors, not understood as yet, have ALWAYS stopped and reversed the warming cycle.

To try to reduce the argument to a glass bottle with CO2 in is pathetic.
If it was that simple, they would be able to forecast the climate. So far, climate "science"s record on forecasting is abysmal.

Let's not assume that the tabletop experiment models our atmosphere eh, but do remember that the video was posted because you disputed the atmospheric effects of fossil fuel combustion, though you are willing to acknowledge CO2's thermal profile as a notable greenhouse gas.

Of course CO2 is a greenhouse gas, but it doesn't follow that the tiny bit of warming that we've seen is down to CO2 levels. If anything, the evidence is contrary, as atmospheric temperatures warmed, then levelled off, whereas the CO2 level rose and rose.

You only have to take the briefest squint at the figures, to see that the global temperatures do NOT respond in line with CO2.

I dispute that the link between CO2 and climate is what they say it is, not that CO2 traps heat.
It does trap heat. BUT, it doesn't hang on to it. What happens to the heat afterwards is incredibly complicated, and not understood by climate "science".
Otherwise, they could tell us what next year will be like. They can't.

You have one side of the Earth absorbing heat, the other side radiating heat, clouds reflecting heat, or acting as a blanket, water vapour trapping heat, geothermal events releasing heat, it's not CO2 in a bottle.

The idea that common sense explains how the world works is the basis of all that is wrong with populist movements (left or right)

That's absolute bollocks. Evolution by natural selection is anything but a random process.
This illustrates how people who know very little like to think that they are experts.

Of course, when people try to claim that it's "common sense" that if CO2 in a bottle traps heat, then a small bit of global warming MUST be down to CO2, that's perfectly ok. :funny:

I'm pretty obviously an expert in both subjects.

I, for one, welcome our new coastline. I found a map thingy where you could enter the sea level rise in meters and it would show you the new coastline. With a 7 meter rise my house (it was that specific) is waterfront property. No more paying to keep the boat at the marina.

Color me driving around in a big pick-up truck, doing my part.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
