The pantsuits and frocks will need some tweaking, yes. How many Blackberries are hiding in there? Those must be taken away. Texting and pics to Bill and Chelsea only. And selfies (to those two) to get consensus on "does my ass look big in this?" I suggest black and gray only, with black tops best.

Terrorists? What are you on about? This was a spontaneous uprising in response to very unfortunate anti-Muslim video.

I won't make a similar joke about Stein. That would be sexist. Wait, which one identifies as female and which male? Not sure either one has gone on record....

You paint a nice picture, but with Clinton unable to climb a staircase without assistance and wearing those coke-bottle prism glasses, I'm not sure she could knock over an empty tin can.Animavore wrote:I'd love to see Trump rile Clinton, and then Clinton lose it and beat the shit out of him and leave him on his knees, crying, begging her to stop, while all his disgusted, red neck fans walk off, throwing in their red, Make America Great Again caps, saying, "You ain't the alpha male."

Well, the FBI said that not all the work related emails were turned over, so....Tero wrote:Crooked Hillary Had Server! Someone must go to jail!According to the source, the FBI requested the laptops of Clinton's attorneys, Mills and Heather Samuelson, after they conducted a 2014 review of what emails Clinton sent were work-related and which were personal. Work-related emails were turned over to the State Department and personal emails were deleted.
In exchange for giving the laptops they used to the FBI, Mills and Samuelson were given a limited immunity agreement from the Department of Justice, the Democratic source said, that they would not face prosecution for any information that was found on those laptops.

Re: The Hillary-thread
One, as I said, no specific lie was identified. Just a general declaration that almost everything he says is a lie. However, yes, as a general proposition, we know that everyone lies, from white lies to save people's feelings, lies which are courtesies and pleasantries, lies which are generally not harmful to anyone, on up to lies which are made to save one's face or ass, or to rip someone off, on up to perjury in open court or under oath, etc.Brian Peacock wrote:So a lying Trump is better because he didn't hold public office when he lied -Forty Two wrote:Trump's "lies" (no specific "lie" has been identified here, but assuming arguendo one was identified, his lies would not have effected national security, whereas Hillary's did pose national security risks.Brian Peacock wrote:That's one way to excuse Trump's lies I guess. Now if we accept both candidates have lied what makes Trump's lying less worse than Clinton's?DaveDodo007 wrote:The difference is the MSM covers and make excuses for Clinton's lies and corruption, whilst they will scrutinize anything Trump says with a microscope. If you want a MSM that does its fucking job in the first place you better hope that Trump gets elected president.Brian Peacock wrote:Lolz. You don't want to get into a 'who's the biggest liar' contest when Trump is one of the contestants. It's amusing to see Trumpeteers asserting Hillary is untrustworthy while Trump plays fast and loose with facts on a daily basis. It makes me think that Clinton's character isn't really the issue - particularly if we're being asked to take our personal standards of propriety and probity from a draft and tax dodging bankruptee who thinks that boasting about the size of his genitals says something important about his qualifications for public office.
A lie in connection with one's duty in public office is of a different character to one made by an private individual in one's daily life. That's because as a public servant, an oath is taken to uphold the office and its ethics, including telling the truth to the people while holding that office. So, certainly, a like in public office, in connection with the office holder's duties, is worse than a lie by that officeholder about a personal matter, and it's worse than a lie by a nonofficeholder (all else being equal).
There was some celebrating. http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Ru ... 21151.htmlBrian Peacock wrote:
about, say, thousands and thousand of Muslims cheering in New Jersey when the twin-towers came down?
Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik confirmed there was some celebration. And, Guardian Angels head Curtis Slewa confirmed it as well.
The extent of it is certainly arguable. But, celebrations did occur. If you want to talk about exaggerations, just look at Hillary and how she exaggerated landing under sniper fire in Bosnia.
Saying there was celebrating when there was celebrating, and at most overstating the extent of it? What is the national security implication? What would you say are the national security implications of Hillary declaring that the US Embassy in Libya was attacked as a result of a spontaneous protest over a video? What about the lies about her (a) being permitted to have a server in her home (she wasn't), (b) having turned over all her work related emails (she didn't), and (c) she never sent or received classified information on her personal server (she did)?Brian Peacock wrote:
Certainly You don't think that lying on that matter to that extent has national security implications,
Which lies? I mean - if he is purposefully exaggerating the amount of celebrating that occurred, that's incorrect, but hardly a big deal on the scale of political lies, don't you think?Brian Peacock wrote: or only because Trump didn't hold public office at the time?
It's a far less important lie than the lies I've listed for Hillary Clinton. If he's "lying" about the level of celebration, what possible impact does that have on anything? It's like saying that the there were lots of protests over the Mohammed cartoons in Denmark, when there were only "some" protest. What's the import?Brian Peacock wrote: Will that lie count later?
No, it's an irrelevancy either way. The point is that lies IN CONNECTION WITH one's position as a public servant are generally worse than "exaggerations" about how many Mulsims celebrated 9/11. I mean, does anyone really believe that there isn't a significant portion of Muslims who were happy about it? There were. Mostly not in the US, but there were plenty of Muslims who tacitly support radical Islam, even though they themselves aren't violent. The Pew Research polls tell us that. And, there were "some" Muslims in NY and NJ who celebrated.Brian Peacock wrote: Will it have national security implications if he does achieve office?
Quote the lie, please, or link to it. I've done that for Hillary's lies.Brian Peacock wrote: Does this mean that other lies, say, about donating huge chunks of money to veteran's charities which nobody can actually find or identify,
Again, quote it. What did he actually say? Make your case.Brian Peacock wrote: or repeating demonstrable false overestimates of the level of violent crime or unemployment are not really that important or significant?
No, my inclination was to suggest that the only lie you were specific about, the exaggeration of the level of celebration, is rather meaningless and of no import, and hardly a lie. So what if he said thousands and it was really only hundreds or "sporadic"? It still happened. And, even if it didn't, it doesn't matter for any purpose. A lie in connection with an Embassy Bombing, or email/server security, during one's tenure as Secretary of State has far more relevancy, IMO.Brian Peacock wrote: If it's your inclination to respond with something bad that Clinton has done, as if trading the import or significance of wrongs somehow casts the wrongness of the least wrong in a more virtuous light, then I think you'll have missed the point.
Maybe to you they don't. That's fair.

Are you watching the cable news channels? Every show treats Trump as if he's an anomaly and "we" are all hoping it will end.tattuchu wrote:Funny, it seems to me that everything Clinton does/has done is intensely scrutinized by the media while Trump somehow gets a free pass blustering and bullshitting his way through everything unchallenged
If the media were giving Hillary a hard time, why would they be so soft on her email server issues, her health, and her list of various lies? The media want Hillary Clinton to be elected. They are on her side. Trump is the one fighting against the media. CBS, NBC, ABC CNN, MNSBC, etc., are all in the Clinton Camp. The New York Times endorsed Hillary as do most major media outlets. You've got Republicans endorsing Hillary - prominent Republicans endorsing Hillary.

Many thought Clinton did better on style and debating points, but she didn’t move them. “Hillary was much cleaner in her evasions,” said Federal, who called Trump “bombastic.”
“Clinton was more of the same, but Trump presented himself as very rough, unpolished,” said John Fitzgerald, an unaffiliated voter.
