“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

Punishment for President Hillary: no more laptops for you! No more email account. You get one cell phone a week and an assistant to sledge hammer them. The remains go into a bucket, collected by the FBI.

Re: The Hillary-thread
How did Hillary order all those drone strikes etc that she is supposed to have done?
It's possible that Secretary Clinton directly used the State Departmment's classified communication systems when she was in her office, but I've heard no reports that she did.
What's been reported is that she handled most of her communications the same way most senior executives do: by delegating to aides. Her aides used the State Department's classified system to send out messages on her behalf. Her aides aides also delivered printed copies of any classified communcations from that system that needed her direct attention.
It's also been reported that some State Department employees also sent material that should have been marked as classified, but was not so marked, to her private email account. Whether or not she has any liability for that, or for not having deleted those messages if and when she realized that they should have been marked as classified, has not been established. The last I heard, the FBI was still investigating but was also still saying that Secretary Clinton was not the subject of the investigation.
As Clinton has explained in her testimony, email was not her primary means of communication and in her mind, classified information was conveyed in daily face to face meetings, teleconferences, videoconferences, and in secure diplomatic cables (the ones that were famously leaked and had nothing to do with Clinton United States diplomatic cables leak )

Re: The Hillary-thread
QUESTION: Last night, Mr. Trump suggested in some of his security briefings that briefers made a suggestion or an insinuation that they were not pleased — the CIA was not pleased with the decisions that the administration and President Obama have made so far.
Did you get that same impression in the briefings that you got? And can you comment otherwise on that suggestion from Mr. Trump?
CLINTON: I think what he said was totally inappropriate and undisciplined. I would never comment on any aspect of an intelligence briefing that I received.

Except that Hillary did, back in 2008..... But she probably forgot.....Tero wrote:QUESTION: Last night, Mr. Trump suggested in some of his security briefings that briefers made a suggestion or an insinuation that they were not pleased — the CIA was not pleased with the decisions that the administration and President Obama have made so far.

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

She meant that neither candidate should comment while they are candidate. Duh! The President or Secretary of State is allowed to comment or announce. Usually after we "strike."

Andy McCarthy is clearly not a lawyer. Hillary is not employed, and FBI cleared her of crimes. Impeach is not in the list of options.
Andy McCarthy, a conservative pundit who served as a national security adviser to Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign, is urging Congress to preemptively impeach Hillary Clinton in order to prevent her from becoming president.
McCarthy wrote in the National Review on Tuesday that Congress could launch proceedings for “an impeachment [of Clinton] based on her abuses of power as secretary of state, which would have the constitutional effect of disqualifying her for the presidency.

There's no honour there is there? "It doesnt matter if we lose the election, that woman will not be allowed to take office."
So what if Hillary wins and is impeached out of office? Does the party that selected Trump think that will give them a second chance to pick a non-batshit candidate in a re-run or do they imagine Trumpington will just coast into office by default and unelected?

She should be impeached over her email scandal of illegally having classified information on her personal server, then lying about it.Tero wrote:Andy McCarthy is clearly not a lawyer. You did not get it. Impeachment is only while you are at your post and only for that post. She is no longer Secretary or Senator. She can only be impeached as president for presidential acts. Not former acts. You could be impeached for falsely representing a state you don't live in or other things that disqualify you from your job.

Some may try to argue that because Hillary resigned, she is no longer eligible for impeachment. That is simply not true, and precedent has been established to the contrary.
William Belknap served as Secretary of War under Ulysses S Grant from October 25, 1869 – March 2, 1876. While Secretary of War, Belknap’s extravagant lifestyle came into question. You see, Belknap only made $8k a year but was known for his extravagant lifestyle and expensive parties. Congress launched an investigation into his finances and found corruption that extended back to 1870.
According to Senate records, “On March 2, 1876, just minutes before the House of Representatives was scheduled to vote on articles of impeachment, Belknap raced to the White House, handed Grant his resignation, and burst into tears.”
Belknap’s resignation did not stop his impeachment. “Later that day, members voted unanimously to send the Senate five articles of impeachment.”
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
