I agree. Excerpts and/or summaries useful for deciding if the links are worth clicking on, and this goes not only for those who need to be parsimonious with their internet usage. I frequently don't bother clicking on links that are posted without any further information.

That said, Animavore's link is well worth reading in full. It is about a letter allegedly written by a medical doctor testifying that not only is Trump in good health, but he is the healthiest presidential candidate in the history of the USA. The author of the article points out several weird things about this letter, but the update at the bottom is a bombshell. The idiocy of it all makes me wonder if the whole thing has been produced and planted as a joke by an enemy of Trump. Surely, not even Trump could be that deluded to think he could get away with it.

Man, Merka is a bizarre place at the moment. Really quite staggering that someone like Trump, with all this sort of associated bullshit, could be running for President. Merka needs nuking from orbit and starting again..

On the contrary, any free society should see exactly this sort rise from time to time. I really don't get why just having Trump out there is an indication that we're sick.

Why should his being there speak more loudly than his losing so badly anyway?

Yes, he will probably lose, and that will be an indication that enough Americans can see through his shtick, which is both important and welcome.

But, to put rEv's point a little less histrionically, the fact that he got the nomination, and got the amount of voter support he did, is at the very least somewhat disturbing...

I understand his frustration. But disturbing relative to what? It's just people everywhere, and nobody's safe. :read:

This is tricky, you may find yourself accidentally violating some quoting and copyrights laws. Posting links on the other hand is safe. The title or just a short excerpt should suffice.

If you don't see it, no amount of explaining will make it clear to you. I started wondering about the mindset of American voters when the majority gave Reagan the nod. My concern grew when Bush Jr. was re-elected. The fact that Trump has been running neck and neck with Clinton for a couple of months tops the lot in the absurdity stakes, notwithstanding the facts that he is running against a bellicose Wall Street shill and the wheels are falling off his campaign wagon just now.

This summarizes the whole thread.

Even though I am a fan of Hillary's, I dislike the dynasty aspect. How come there was Bush senior, then Bush junior, then Clinton male, now Clinton female, how come there are not more parties and candidates to chose from, this is not South America after all, this is USA!

He's won a lot before he loses the final battle. Someone that juvenile and under-equipped to be President shouldn't even get close to running for the top job. That he has says something about the large number of people who are supporting him. It's not a pretty assessment.

Well, most jurisdictions (so I'm assuming Britain as well) have fair use exemptions. In any case, no one important is going to give one shit about a small forum like this. Just post away.

I have been taken up for quoting on an even shittier forum, really, copyrights are no joking matter.

A few sentences giving some details of what the link is about might be more work than a copypasta job, but it definitely cannot be deemed a copyright infringement. I have seen several messages sent by copyright owners to forum admins warning of dire consequences if some post is not taken down, but none ever resulted in any court action even on the two occasions when the admins failed to oblige. Paper tigers.
