This was an example of his "instant adaptation" bullshit. How I remember beating him about the head over that particular piece of lunacy. Only I'd love to be able to "instantly" adapt my tropical fish to cold water and save on the electricity being used to keep their tanks at 24°C or thereabouts, but if I tried that, my fish wouldn't "instantly adapt", they'd fucking die.
