Re: Erdogan organised the coup.
When you look at the bare statistics, it's inconceivable that Erdogan didn't know beforehand.
7,500 arrested including 300 PRESIDENTIAL GUARDS !!
9,000 police fired
nearly 3,000 judges fired
plus loads of other examples.
Even if those numbers are wrong, what sort of intelligence service would not know that a coup was in the offing, if all of these people knew something about it?

Re: Erdogan organised the coup.
Ummmm, I think he's using it as an excuse to arrest everyone he doesn't like. He's trying to go full blown dictator. Fired 50k teachers too I think? I'm sure all his political opponents will be next. Got to get rid of the unfriendly judges first.......mistermack wrote:When you look at the bare statistics, it's inconceivable that Erdogan didn't know beforehand.

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

He didn't. Tranny is right for once. The parallels with the 1933 Reichstag fire, which was the perfect pretext for Hitler getting one step closer to dictatorship, are too obvious to not having been noticed. For example: http://www.politico.eu/article/erdogans ... p-attempt/mistermack wrote:When you look at the bare statistics, it's inconceivable that Erdogan didn't know beforehand.

Though galaxies can be partly right too. Erdogan could have been aware or assumed a coup plot and had a plan to take advantage of it. Why bother planning a fake coup if you can be one step ahead of them.

True. That is exactly what happened with the Princess Dianna conspiracy. 2:08 - 4:50 of this documentary is about it.Tyrannical wrote:Though galaxies can be partly right too. much more convenient to plan it yourself, independent agents might do it competently and give you problems.

For a good insight into Turkish politics read the novel "Snow" by Orhan Pamuk:Svartalf wrote:except of course Erdo^gan pulled the army's teeth years ago, and this latest coup was so inept it didn't seem planned at all... or more likely it was planned, planned to fail miserably as it did.DaveDodo007 wrote:When the Turkish military plan a coup, the coup happens and it was set up by Ataturk to do so.Svartalf wrote:I already stated as much, and I'm pretty sure of it... the coup attempt was just too inept, and the reaction too well prepared.

It is chilling in how it describes a Turkish coup (albeit on a smaller scale)
