Pretty much as soon as they could. Until around 1250 they controlled all of the Iberian peninsula and a little bit of what is France today. Until 1500 they were still in possession of the southern half of Spain and Portugal. In 1529 Suleiman the Magnificent besieged Vienna. The city remained threatened by the Ottomans until the Battle of Vienna over 150 years later.

Yes, the writer who announces that most of what he wrote and signed is named to was a lie....why would anyone doubt his word? He was more than willing to write a book full of lies at the time, but now, well, now, he's honest. Or, is it that at the time he believed what he wrote? Which is it?

It's Hillary's Presidency to lose. She has the Democrat establishment behind her, and she has the advantage that the Republican establishment is shut out now, and some are even saying they'd support Hilary (neoconservative crony captitalist, bought and paid for by Wall Street and Washington insiders) over Trump. She has the major media outlets behind her 100% as well.

It would take a miracle for Trump to win.

I hope you are right, but sometimes I think you are just trying to re-assure yourself that Americans are not that stupid...

I think the opposite. I think everyone is underestimating the American electorate because they believe 'dumb Americans'. I think they're intelligent enough to not vote against themselves. They're not the British.

The public vote against themselves by voting for Hillary. However, Hillary has the 1% in her camp. She has Wall Street finance and investment banking in her camp. She has the consultant and lobbying class in her camp. She has the foreign donors. She has the money. She has the media.

The only thing Trump has is the public. He won the Republican primary precisely because the voters voted for him rather than the "smart" choices.
