Christians are being driven out of the middle east, that's for sure. Seventy five percent of Iraq Christians have fled Iraq, or died, since 2003. The show "60 Minutes" reported that 125,000 Iraqi Christians were driven from their homes in 2014 (out of 300,000 remaining Iraqi Christians). In the 1920s, about 1/3 of Syrians were Christian. That's down to like 10%. There is the Lebanese Christian diaspora, where several times Lebanese Christians were driven out of the country. The population continues to shift to Islam.

It doesn't get much play, because there is sort of a default position that the Middle East ought to be Islamic. It's rightfully Islamic, and other religious groups are just interlopers.

what needs to be done is theocracy needs to end, and there needs to be separation of Mosque and State in Islamic countries. There ought to be no Islamic countries. There should be secular countries that respect individual rights to practice or not practice any religion or no religion.

Sure, there should be a secular government with separation of Temple and State in Israel. But, as long as people are o.k. with their being Islamic countries on 95% of Middle Eastern soil, I won't begrudge a Jewish state on a plot of desert the size of New Jersey.
