Also there was a lot of passive anger in the speech the Muslim girl gave. Maybe it was right, something anyone would feel in that sort of situation. Thing is she's a moderate today, could teenage rebel and be on a flight to Syria tomorrow...

The problem with religion (some more than others) is that they form a large part of some people's culture and therefore their identity. It's hard to deny the importance of identity to a person.
