Like the DRC where if the local warlord likes you you have it made. The problem in the DRC and most other African shit-holes is not too many guns, it's too many guns in the hands of the government and not nearly enough guns in the hands of average, law-abiding citizens with which they can defend themselves from "local warlords."

Heh... "Megamurders" indeed...by armed criminals, perpetrated against the unarmed citizens of Mexico, who, contrary to your implication, are not permitted to possess, much less carry effective self-defense weapons in public. Mexico has very, very strict gun laws and it is all but impossible for anyone to get a concealed carry permit, much less permission to carry arms effective for defending one's family against heavily (and illegally) armed cartel killers.

It is illegal in Mexico to posses any firearm that uses "military" ammunition, and for the most part the only firearms that are available, under strict regulations, to anyone are single-shot sporting shotguns and some hunting rifles. Possessing even one round of "military" ammunition...or even an expended cartridge case (for example a .45 ACP case) will get you years in jail, as several Americans have discovered to their horror when they inadvertently "import" an expended cartridge case (in one case a .22 shell and in another a .45 ACP case) into Mexico because it was concealed under a floor mat or in some other nook or cranny in their vehicle.

Then there's the Americans who inadvertently get onto the road in El Paso leading to Mexico, which is poorly marked and has no turn-around, and get arrested and put in prison for years for unintentionally entering Mexico with illegal firearms (all firearms) because they took a wrong turn on a highway and could not turn around before the border.

So, once again you know nothing about the subject and you're spewing ignorance and bilge with every word.

Well, the official estimate is that around 50% of guns used by Mexican criminals come from the USA, but that translates into an awful lot of murders that are a result of lax American gun laws.

Actually, a very small number of guns come from the US. Most of the guns that the cartels use are fully-automatic AK variants and other ComBloc weapons smuggled into Mexico from...wait for it...Cuba, as well as Africa, Venezuela and other nations. You see, you can't buy fully-automatic weapons in gun stores in Texas with nothing more than a straw buyer, nor can you buy heavy machine guns, grenades, explosives and other military hardware, which largely comes from thefts from the Mexican military and government. The few fully-automatic American firearms that the cartels use are stolen from the Mexican military, usually by the soldiers themselves who defect to the Zetas, which are a military enforcement arm of the Sinaloa cartel comprised of elite Mexican special operations operators who have decided to take the cartel's coin rather than the government's. That is our fault for giving Mexico a fucking dime's worth of American weapons in the first place.

And do you know who, exactly, is responsible for many of the weapons purchased by straw buyers in Texas and smuggled into Mexico? Barack Hussein Obama and his minions at the BATFE who allowed them to be smuggled across the border and indeed ORDERED gun dealers to make illegal sales to known straw buyers.

Possessing a firearm or a single round of ammunition with the intent to commit a crime with it, even in Mexico, is a crime.

It's only a matter of time till the population decides to go for socialism as far as guns go. It's for the greater good. It is going to be NOT ABOUT SETH. The country does not give a shit about SETH.
