Dangit, if they intend to carry it to every state that make religious (aka Chretin) displays on Public land, should they not have made the thing a bit more portable than a ton? (even if it's a short Imperial ton, it's still half a real ton, and not easy to move without a crane and a large truck)

Given the likely emotions that it will stir up, it's probably a good idea to make it very heavy.
It will make it hard to demolish, or steal.
